LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On days Ana Navarro is not on 'The View', she makes sure her followers know what she is up to through social media. As the political season is at its peak with the presidential race nearing, Navarro’s Twitter has turned into an anti-Ron DeSantis political campaign, or as she likes to call him, "Ron DiSaster."
Earlier, Navarro mocked DeSantis using the word "woke" and this time around, she had the perfect opportunity to do it again. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, the Florida Governor defended his struggling campaign ahead of the elections. In addition, the word "wokeness" wiggled its way into the CNN interview, and Navarro had a field day with it, as her fans supported her stance against DeSantis.
‘Broken record’
In the CNN interview, Tapper mentioned DeSantis’ "fight against so-called wokeness." The presidential aspirant claimed that not enough people knew what "wokeness" meant. DeSantis said, “Not everyone really knows what wokeness is, I mean, I have defined it, but a lot of people who rail against wokeness cannot even define it.” On this particular statement, Navarro took to Twitter and said, “Ron DiSaster told @jaketapper most people can’t define “woke,” even though they rail against it. Yes, he blurted that out. He knows full well it’s just a stupid made-up word he repeats like a broken record to trigger people and cause outrage and anger.” Although the internet normally tends to go against Navarro when it came to the Republican party, they could not help but be on the same page as her this time around.
‘He could google it’
The internet was convinced that DeSantis did not know what "woke" meant. One person tweeted, “That’s rich coming from him when even he can’t doesn’t know what it means yet it’s his every other word.” Another person added, “He could google it.” A third person penned, “Woke” is not a made-up word! He is using it in the wrong context to sound superior.”
Navarro’s fans were impressed by her swipe at DeSantis. A person wrote, “Thank you for always leading the way. I LOVE how you always make the most sense.” Another tweeted, “I smiled when he said it. I couldn’t wait to hear what you had to say!” One tweet read, “DeSantis is a total fraud”
