NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Friday, ‘The View’ panel discussed former President Donald Trump’s recent interviews with Megyn Kelly and Kristen Welker.
During this discussion, while the hosts dissed Trump, Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump aide, applauded Welker and Kelly for their work. Joy Behar, who moderated the panel in the absence of Whoopi Goldberg explained that Trump had done “two big interviews” in a week’s time.
Alyssa Farah Griffin calls Megyn Kelly a ‘tough interviewer’
Joy Behar introduced the topic of discussion, which revolved around Donald Trump, to her co-hosts as she said, “Joe Biden's keeping quiet. That's not true of Donald Trump, however. Boca Grande has done two big interviews, one with Megyn Kelly.”
She also added, “Remember he said there was blood coming out of her whatever. Now she's sitting down with him. I love showbusiness,” while talking about Trump and Megyn Kelly.
According to Time Magazine, in 2015, Trump told CNN’s Don Lemon, “She gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions, you know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever. In my opinion, she was off base.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin immediately interjected to praise Kelly, “I think she did a good job though. She’s a pretty tough interviewer.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin makes a MAGA joke
‘The View’ also played clips of Kristen Welker and Megyn Kelly’s interviews with Donald Trump and made remarks on how he looked. Alyssa Farah Griffin remarked, “He didn’t look in good health.”
Griffin also shared her thoughts on the interview, “I can picture the smoke coming out of his attorney’s ears. So there’s this running joke now — Sunny's probably heard this in legal circles — that MAGA now stands for Make Attorneys Get Attorneys, like what?”
“He just incriminated himself several times, it’s still not true that he can declassify anything,” said Griffin.
‘The View’ host and former Trump aide then praised Kelly and Welker, “I wanna give props to both Megyn Kelly and Kristen Welker, whatever you think of either, they are very sharp interviewers because they both caught him right in that corner.”
