LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Neither Roxanne Kaiser nor Antonio Mattei were able to open Kat Shelton's eyes to the fact that Alex Chapman is a walking r/AITA post — the sort that goes popular on Reddit and is featured on podcasts — throughout the experiment on 'The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On' Season 2. However, when Roxanne and Antonio again addressed the topic of the Season 2 Reunion, which aired on Netfix on August 30, Kat remained unapologetic.
Roxanne really pulls Kat aside at girls' night and attempts to attract her attention to all the glaring "danger" flags coming from her would-be spouse, but all Kat remembers from the conversation is Roxanne being unhappy that Alex isn't opening vehicle doors for her. It's the fact that Alex lies about little things like unlocking car doors when he has, in fact, absolutely failed to meet this one easy request.
Antonio may have been cripplingly envious of Alex, who had the rise-and-grind mindset that Roxanne, a successful entrepreneur, professes she desires, but he also recognizes a "shitbag" when he sees one. When Alex complains about "keeping Roxanne accountable" at boys' night, Antonio responds without hesitation. What exactly do you mean, Alex? Alex, for example, believes Roxanne is overly emotional in her work emails. "You read her work emails?" Antonio asks, without pausing.
Of course, Antonio has revealed all of his discoveries on "this shitbag" Alex to Roxanne in a yell, as Kat bleats in the background, "Don't call him a shitbag!"
When Roxanne confronts Alex, it is clear why he was with Kat. Alex isn't interested in Roxanne; he's interested in Kat, who looks to have absorbed so much bad treatment from him that she's convinced herself this is normal.
When the whole ordeal was again addressed during the reunion, Roxanne stood on her grounds, looking back over the films from girls' night, wondering why Alex wanted to be with Kat. Kat says she's fine with it because she did give Alex the ultimatum, and they worked hard to get where they are now. Roxanne disagrees with Kat's suggestion that Roxanne entered the girls' night with a predisposition towards Alex.
Roxanne's statements about Alex stepping all over her back are dismissed by Kat. Roxanne, according to Kat, tried to make the couple seem terrible by lying during the experiment.
Roxanne remembered Kat agreeing to everything she said about Alex at ladies' night. She goes on to say that she apologized to Alex for screaming out at him and thanked him for their adventure throughout the trial marriage.
In her defense, Kat apologizes for being an "agreeable listener," something she promises to improve in the future. Roxanne calls Kat out because she believes they are "not real apologies. When I feel like we're sitting here trying to be like, we're sorry for this, or I am sorry for certain things, and you guys are like 'Sorry for being an agreeable listener.'"
Where are Kat Shelton and Alex Chapman now after 'The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On' Season 2?
Kat and Alex had been dating for two years when 'The Ultimatum' Season 2 began filming. On the broadcast, Nick Lachey referred to him and Kat as an "adventurous couple" who like traveling all over the world together. But Kat had had enough of being a girlfriend. She was eager to settle down and become a wife, although Alex was hesitant.
Fans weren't sure about Kat and Alex departing the social experiment as an engaged pair since, once Alex started dating his trial marriage partner Roxanne, they looked to be genuinely into each other. However, that connection rapidly fizzled, and Alex eventually proposed to Kat.
Kat and Alex declare at the reunion show that they will marry on May 10, 2024. Kat also informs the rest of the group that Alex has grown more eager to settle down, purchase a house, and have children since being engaged.
Where are Roxanne Kaiser and Antonio Mattei now after 'The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On' Season 2?
The biggest difficulty Roxanne and Antonio had in their relationship was Roxanne's perception of Antonio's inadequacy as a partner in terms of his job path. While Roxanne had her own nipple pasties company and was the breadwinner in their relationship, Antonio had not yet attained that level of success in his job. Roxanne, like Antonio, did not believe in marriage.
While it appeared at first that Roxanne and her trial marriage partner Alex were getting along wonderfully and might exit the show together, things rapidly go wrong when Roxanne realizes that she and Alex aren't compatible. Roxanne and Antonio eventually get engaged.
We learn in the reunion episode that Roxanne and Antonio are still together and engaged, but Roxanne dislikes wearing her engagement ring. They also haven't picked a wedding date. When it comes to Antonio and his job, he currently runs a car wash in Georgia and has signed on as an approved franchisee with a vehicle modification company.
When asked if she would marry Antonio, Roxanne tells Vanessa Lachey that it's just not on her radar right now. Vanessa then asks both Roxanne and Antonio whether they would marry right then and there, and Antonio says yes, but Roxanne says nay.
