LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charity Lawson's Bachelorette season has already had its share of controversy, primarily including first impression rose winner Brayden Bowers, whose outspoken demeanor and criticism of Charity kissing other guys irritated her fellow suitors. However, the July 10 episode of 'The Bachelorette' demonstrated that the other extreme may also be a dealbreaker.
This week on 'The Bachelorette,' a guy who had barely uttered four words was given a one-on-one date, and our queen spent entirely too much time worrying about Brayden. 'The Bachelorette' finally had a sponcon date that was entertaining to watch as well as effective marketing for the featured product! Mike Fleiss, the devil, works hard, but the Barbie marketing team works even harder. However, supporters were left devastated at the end of the night when they had to watch Warwick Reider's departure.
'I can't afford to hand out Roses just because you're cute'
The episode's last date card went to Warwick, and if you don't know who that man is, join the club! Because Warwick is so quiet, the other guys in the house were taken aback when he received the one-on-one date. Charity revealed that she was physically drawn to and intrigued by him, so she brought him to Belmont Park for a quiet, fun night of rides, snacks, and conversing.
The date appeared to be a lot of fun until the producers removed the thrilling cuts and exposed how uncomfortable and silent their time together was. Warwick informed the cameras that amusement parks exhaust him! But when he couldn't explain to Charity why his previous relationships had failed or what his great qualities were, she knew he'd had enough.
Although the date was enjoyable, Charity thought they were on different wavelengths; therefore, she did not give him the rose. Warwick appeared distraught as his car drove away, but within minutes he was fast asleep and snoring, implying that the date had taken a toll on him.
'Hope he gets to take a nice nap on the beaches of Bachelor in Paradise'
Even though fans were upset to see Warwick leave, he surely managed to steal some hearts. One viewer tweeted, "Warwick being too sleepy to keep being social is honestly the most relatable thing to me that’s ever happened on this show." While others quipped, "WARWICK FALLING ASLEEP INSTEAD OF ANSWERING THE PRODUCERS QUESTION LMAO." Some well-wishers tweeted, "I know he’s said a grand total of 45 words this whole season, but Warwick is still my favorite. And falling asleep on the car ride home? Incredible. I hope he gets to take a nice nap on the beaches of Bachelor in Paradise." Others questioned, "Is Warwick just really nervous or does he just not know how to have a conversation….."
Some users reacted to the date, "warwick has the personality of a doorknob, like hello are u alive." Others joked, "convinced that warwick wanted to go home since night one but was just too shy to ask if that was allowed."
'The Bachelorette' airs weekly on ABC every Monday, from 9-11 pm ET.
