LONDON, UK: Some of the most well-known online personalities attended the 2023 edition of the Sidemen Charity Match at a sold-out London Stadium on September 9, 2023. Notably, Sidemen FC won the match 8–5 against YouTube Allstars.
The YouTubers previously collected more than $12,46,500 for charity, and Saturday's event has more than doubled that amount for organizations, including Rays of Sunshine, the Teenage Cancer Trust, and the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
‘Siu’ celebration by KSI
During the Sidemen charity game, IShowSpeed missed a chance to score by kicking a penalty straight toward KSI. Prior to his fight with Tommy Fury this year, the YouTuber-turned-boxer chose to hit the goal. He then did the "Siu" celebration right away.
The YouTube All-Stars, managed by Mark Goldbridge of talkSPORT, had an opportunity to cut the score in half early in the second half as they trailed 4-2. W2S fouled ChrisMD inside the box, and Mark Clattenburg gave them a penalty.
Speed was on the bench at the time, but after failing to score in his second charity match appearance, he was hauled back onto the field to take the penalty goal.
He stepped up to take his spot-kick against rival KSI, whom he defeated in last year's encounter, as a sold-out London Stadium crowd waited in expectation.
However, he could not score a goal and KSI ended up doing the ‘Siu’ celebration.
Fans troll Speed, calls him ‘Ishowmiss’
As IShowSpeed missed a penalty against KSI, fans went wild as both of them have an ongoing online feud. Fans commented on the video shared on X.
One fan commented, “KSI hit siuuuuuu.” Another said, “That penalty was outrageous.”
“Someone needs to take him to Ronaldo and learn how to take a penalty,” one wrote, while another fan said, “He just missed the opportunity for one of the greatest moments in YouTube.”
“I lowkey feel bad and happy at the same time HAHAHAHA,” another fan commented on the video.
IShowSpeed had a chance to score just a few minutes later, at about the 59-minute mark, but squandered the chance. The defender blocked his attempt to goal, adding to the game's trying circumstances.
