FIJI, SOUTH PACIFIC: Charity Lawson's Fantasy Suites week turns into a horror show as one guy reveals his real colors and another returns to win her back. Bachelor Nation is perplexed as 'The Bachelorette' admits to falling for the guy she sent home just a week ago.
Charity has difficult decisions as the finale of ABC's 'The Bachelorette' 2023 approaches. Aaron Bryant was sent home during hometowns. During their sad parting, she expressed uncertainty about her decision. But she subsequently talked about what went wrong in her relationship with Aaron.
'She didn’t know if it was the right decision really kind of threw me off'
'The Bachelorette's Charity was scared she'd made a mistake when she broke up with Aaron. After all, she'd just declared their Houston Hometown Date "perfect" and said she was in love with the 30-year-old real estate agent. Aaron, who was distraught, couldn't understand why Charity had sent him home, so he flew from San Diego to Fiji — where Charity was in the midst of Fantasy Suite Dates with finalists Dotun Olubeko, Joey Graziadei, and Xavier Bonner — for some answers.
"After sending me home last week, the fact that she said she didn’t know if it was the right decision really kind of threw me off," Aaron revealed to producers, acknowledging he was taking a significant risk. "I’m here to do everything I can, lay everything out there, just making sure nothing’s left unsaid... I hope today Charity just accepts me back and also gives me a chance to just show her the man I truly am."
Aaron surprised Charity by approaching her by the pool and opening up about the emotional toll their split had taken on him. "Even driving back to San Diego, I knew that there was more I could have given," he stated. "And then when you said also you wasn’t sure if you were making the right decision, that’s really what got me stuck and in shock. So that’s really why I’m here: to talk about that and also see where your head’s at. I want to know if you’ve been thinking about it as well."
Charity, it turns out, had been thinking about him "every single day" since they parted — and was still regretting her choice to send Aaron home. Aaron will be staying in Fiji for a while longer, according to ABC's Bachelorette finale promotions. "There's like a small panic in my head," he adds in the video footage. "I really see her as the mother of my children, as my future wife."
'Don’t understand the point of her entertaining this with Aaron'
Fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure on Aaron's return as they wrote, "Thanks for flight time, Aaron, but you gotta go, brah." Others slammed Charity as they wrote, "I don’t understand the point of her entertaining this with Aaron. She said she was falling for him at the time, but she’s told two guys that she’s IN love with them already. So what’s the point??" Another person added, "I do not like Aaron for Charity at all. He should have stayed gone! Like wtf." A fourth user tweeted, "It’s going to be between Duton & Aaron & I can’t take it!!!!"
Some users guessed, "So production had to pivot and brought Aaron after the rubbish with Xavier." One user addressed Charity as they wrote, "CHARITY GWURL STAN UP! There is nothing to be confused about - Aaron B is not it!!" Another person added, "Note to Charity: When breaking up with a guy, pick your words carefully cause Aaron got stuck on the "I don't know if I made the right choice." and didn't hear anything else. He's not it. Bye." Another person tweeted, "Bruh she really let Aaron come back? Lmfaoooo."
'The Bachelorette' Season 20 airs every Monday on ABC at 8 PM ET.
