WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Sharon Osbourne was spotted on an outing in West Hollywood on Tuesday, June 20, more than a month after admitting she shed 30 pounds via controversial weight loss injections. The Talk actress, 70, enjoyed a little retail therapy at a nearby gallery.
She hid her little frame with a stylish white sweater, voluminous black pants, and a pair of sunglasses that covered her eyes. Ozzy Osbourne's wife sported a slick lip shade, beautiful red nail paint, and a full head of her customary red hair. Sharon said last month that she lost 30 pounds over the course of four months after receiving the injections, but she also acknowledged that she experienced daily nausea and stressed that it was not a "quick fix."
Sharon Osbourne lost 30 pounds after taking weight loss injections
Sharon recounted her first-hand experience with the medications during a debate on The Talk after it was reported that WeGovy's debut in the UK had been halted. She said, "It is a mental problem. It really is, apart from, you know, when children grow up in a household where they live off chips and pies, But I took (the injection.) I took it for four months, and I lost 30 pounds, but like everything, there's always no quick recipe."
'Every day I felt nauseous'
She added, "I was very sick for a couple of months. The first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever. But listen, I took it for four months; I lost 30 pounds. I've just shoved two chips in my mouth while we had the break, and I eat normally now, and I haven't put on a pound. Nothing," as reported by DailyMail.
Sharon's weight loss medicine was not the only dramatic measure she tried to lose weight. She had gastric bypass surgery in 1999 to assist her lose weight dramatically. It undoubtedly helped her drop weight - an incredible 100 pounds — but Sharon felt the adverse effects weren't worth it, as per reports.
She subsequently acknowledged having misgivings over the treatment, and in 2014 she told Entertainment Tonight that she felt like a "cheat" for relying on medical procedures to help her lose weight rather than diets and increasing exercise. She finally had the band removed in 2006, after which she focused on a regular diet and exercised to maintain her small shape.
For a time, she depended on the low-carbohydrate Atkins diet to keep trim, the diet assisted Osbourne in losing over 30 pounds in three months, and her son Jack and daughter Kelly have also followed it to reduce weight, as per reports.
'Unbelievable her choices are very unhealthy'
However, Sharon's weight loss causes concern among social media users, with fans worrying about her shrinking appearance. One of her followers took to Twitter and wrote, "Not two chips! omg! I couldn't take something unless it was lifesaving that made me nauseas every day." Another user wrote, "It says in the pamphlet that you will feel nauseous, gave diarrhea, constipation, until your body gets use to it. Ozempic is not used for weight loss, unless you doctor is using it off label, it's a diabetic drug." The third user wrote, "Sharon had gastric bypass surgery years ago. What is wrong with her ? unbelievable Her choices are very unhealthy."
