CHELSEA, NEW YORK CITY: Marriage is difficult, but marrying a "housewife" may be even tougher. Meet Pavit Randhawa, the spouse of 'The Real Housewives of New York: Reboot' star Jessel, the first Indian woman to appear in the 'RHONY' franchise.
The new season of 'RHONY' premieres on July 16. On the show, Jessel unveils an unvarnished view of her New York life with her husband and twin infant sons for the relaunch, along with a cast of six other housewives, for 14 drama-filled episodes. Jessel, a 40-year-old from London, relocated to Manhattan soon after graduation to seek a career in fashion. She has a background in public relations and is about to launch Oushq, an e-commerce site with ready-to-ship Indian designer apparel for the US market.
Who is Pavit Randhawa?
Pavit S Randhawa was born in 1979. He is an Indian-American. Pavit can be found on Instagram at @thewiiingman. He has over 8k followers and a couple of hundred posts. However, he is not as active on Facebook. Pavit's hobbies, according to his profile, include first-class travel, luxury, good eating and elegance. Other than New York, he has also lived in Dallas and Los Angeles.
Pavit is a seasoned management consultant, investment banker, project manager and senior executive adviser with expertise in strategy, operations, financial analysis, and mergers and acquisitions. According to his LinkedIn, he was working full-time as the president of Phone Daddy, which is a smart discount on Smart Phones that seeks to bridge the gap between trustworthy, expensive tech items and regular customers. He formerly oversaw strategy and analytics at Harbor Freight Tools for over six years.
Pavit, according to Gossip Next Door, has a net worth of more than $4M as of 2022. At the University of California, Los Angeles, he earned a BA in Economics and Accounting. He went on to get an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the University of Michigan's Stephen M Ross School of Business.
How did Jessel and Pivat meet?
Jessel married Pavit on October 18, 2014, in Mexico. Jessel had previously met the aspiring businessman at a Lower East Side pub through a mutual acquaintance. Their relationship, on the other hand, did not take off right away, and they remained close friends for years before they began dating. They had become good friends when they realized they also wanted to relocate.
As a result, when Jessel's mother paid her her first visit, she was introduced to Pavit. She had predicted that they would end up together. That's when Jessel began paying closer attention and eventually asked him out to dinner. They began dating, and three years into their relationship, Pavit proposed to her on Labor Day Weekend after successfully tricking Jessel into thinking he was going to propose on several occasions.
For a long time, they were both far away from each other. Pavit got into the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, while Jessel started was working for Michael Kors in New York. Despite the distance, they managed to visit each other every other week, either in New York or on exciting weekend excursions. Pavit and Jessel's Instagram connection dates back to May 2013. Yet, when Jessel recalled her first-ever present from Pavit that year, she felt that they had come a long way.
Pavit and Jessel's sons, Kai and Rio, were born on May 12, 2021. Only a few weeks later, they shared photos of their boys on Instagram. By then, the boys had established feeding and pooping routines, as well as perfected their mother's 'Zoolander' mirror pout. Now, Kai and Rio can be spotted twinning on their Instagram account on a regular basis. Jessel's Instagram profile also keeps her admirers up to speed on her and her husband's "fancy schmancy" travels, whereas Pavit shares post after post dedicated to worldwide outings. Some of these excursions include vacationing on Mexico's tropical beaches, watching sunsets off the coast of Jamaica and visiting Utah's alpine mountains.
Even at the wedding, because Jessel is Hindu and Pavit is Sikh, there were two ceremonies held. Jessel wanted radically distinct appearances for each. The Sikh ceremony, which began at 10 am under the hotel's gazebo, was more conventional, and because her head had to be covered, she opted for extra volume in her hair and a strong red lip to complement her red gown. A more subdued appearance was required for the Hindu ritual, which took place at nightfall.
In the first look of 'RHONY: Reboot', it appears Pavit is poised to jet-set once more, this time to Vietnam, a move that appears to enrage the other 'Wives. "I need some time to myself," Pavit says to Jessel. The new season teaser suggests that the couple was in trouble, with Jessel informing the other housewives that she and Pavit were having problems.
New episodes of 'The Real Housewives of New York City: Reboot' will premiere on Bravo on Sunday, July 16 at 9/8c.
