MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: In an unsettling incident at Pierce Brosnan's residence, authorities have reported that a person behaved highly inappropriately. According to law enforcement officials, Los Angeles County Sheriff's officers responded quickly to an incident at the actor's Malibu estate on June 19.
An individual reportedly engaged in inappropriate behavior by defecating and urinating in a neighboring yard. The intruder then rummaged through the trash before making his way to Pierce Brosnan's home. The 70-year-old actor lives there with his wife Keely Smith, 59. Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing water, which led to a charge of burglary.
The burglar took refuge in the laundry room of actor's home
Allegedly, the individual sought refuge in the laundry room of Brosnan's property after using the neighbor's yard as a makeshift restroom. Law enforcement sources informed TMZ that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a man on both Brosnan's and his neighbor's properties.
The trespasser is said to have initially used the neighbor's backyard before rummaging through the garbage and then making his way to Pierce Brosnan's residence. Police claim that the man roamed around the actor's backyard before proceeding to the front and eventually gaining access to a laundry room.
Intruder cleaned himself up in bathroom of Pierce Brosnan's home
It is alleged that the intruder used Brosnan's water supply to clean himself. When police arrived on the scene, the person fled the house but was soon caught and arrested for burglary.
TMZ reports that Keely, who has been married to Brosnan for two decades, was present during the incident, but it remains unclear whether Pierce himself was at home at the time. Pierce Brosnan and Keely Smith first crossed paths around 1994 and later began a romantic relationship. The couple exchanged vows in 2001 during a wedding ceremony. They have two children together, Dylan Brosnan, 26, and Paris Brosnan, 22.
