TOKYO, JAPAN: In a recent vlog, pro YouTuber PewDiePie explained why he and his wife Marzia made the decision to show their few months old baby, Bjorn, in their YouTube videos amid growing concerns about family channels.
YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg or simply PewDiePie and his wife, Marzia Bisongin, officially tied the knot in 2019 after being in a relationship for 8 years.
PewDiePie decided to show his baby in vlogs
In July, this year, the couple had their bundle of joy as Marzia gave birth to their first child, Bjorn. Fans cheered when the pair announced the exciting news of Bjorn's arrival on Instagram and then in a vlog.
Whether or not influencers choose to include their children in their content has always been a contentious issue.
Many family channels, like the ACE Family, have faced criticism for sharing personal details about their kids with internet users and filming them for public consumption.
However, PewDiePie clarified why he and Marzia chose to include Bjorn in their vlogs, claiming that because he is such a significant part of their lives, it simply made right to do so.
Not only that, but the YouTuber also acknowledged that he considers his baby so adorably cute that he wants everyone to see him.
The YouTuber said, “We weren’t sure how much of Bjorn we would show, but he’s such a big part of our lives that it sort of happens."
He added, “And he’s so cute that I can’t help but wanting to show him. I just think it would be fun to see. Like, I would love to see videos of me as a kid more. Well-edited by professional editor Marzia.”
