WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO: Former golfer turned influencer Paige Spiranac is best known for her captivating videos and sports analysis.
In a recent conversation with the Sports Illustrated, the diva shared the key to building her own career and offered advice to those who might be on their way to building personal brand.
What did Paige Spiranac say?
In a conversation with Sports Illustrated, Spiranac asked her fans, "Stick to what is authentic to you."
Regardless of the path opted, Spiranac said that "authenticity" is key to achieving your goals. For her that meant making a change early on in her career.
She said, "When I was trying to play golf professionally, it didn’t feel right to me, so I pivoted,” adding, “I wanted to stay in this industry that I love so much. When I started social media, no one was doing this. There were no Instagram golf girls.”
She decided to pursue her chosen passion despite the fact that there were no examples before her. Spiranac cleared the road for others to follow in her footsteps by doing this.
She credited her success to “a passion for this game that I love so much, and just being authentic and being myself online.”
"So whether you are hoping to pursue a professional sports career, or wish to pursue an social media job, 'just keep going after it' and 'just be yourself," she said. “If you’re trying to put on a facade, people are going to see right through that," she concluded.
Spiranac's recent partnership with JetFuel
Spiranac has moved one step ahead by stepping into the unconventional realm of energy drinks. In September this year, she engaged in a conversation with Sports Illustrated's Robin Lundberg.
During the discussion, she shed light on the distinctive qualities of JetFuel, the energy drink she now endorses, that sets it apart from the crowd.
According to Lundberg, she is the "first brand ambassador" for the drink, which is exclusively available in vitamin shops for the first six months.
The native of Colorado asserted that for brand alliances to be successful, an influencer's personal brand must complement a company's mission. Such a collboration she said will lead to ads that are "creative" and "exciting" and authentic for the influencer as well as the company.
She said, "Ultimately, whether in your own personal posts or in brand ads, showing your personality is key."
