FARMVILLE, VIRGINIA: Virginia farmer Oliver Anthony, who gained immense popularity after releasing ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’, has released another track titled ‘I Want To Go Home’ on Spotify on Tuesday, August 22.
As the farmer-turned-musician, easily recognized by his distinctive red beard, dropped the song, fans fell in love with the new track. One fan even called him the "Voice of the Generation."

Anthony's latest track documents the journey of a man in a world on the brink of a World War.
He sings, “Every day living in this new world is one too many days to me/ Son, we’re on the brink of the next World War and I don’t think nobody’s praying no more.”
He continued, “And I ain’t saying I know it for sure I’m just down on my knees, begging the Lord to take me home. I want to go home.”
The lyrics further read, “Seven generations farming the ground, grandson sells it to a man from out of town/ Two weeks later the trees go down, only got concrete growing around.”
The video of the song also ends with a verse from Mark 8:36 in the Bible, which reads, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
