NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: As the date for the GOP's primary debate gets closer, ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough is leaving no stone unturned in solidifying his anti-Trump stance, making it apparent with every other tweet.
Scarborough has been seen sharing articles on his Twitter from New York Post, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, as he puts forth his opinions on the Republican party and former president Trump.
On August 16, Scarborough took to Twitter to share an article by the New York Post.
Joe Scarborough addresses the GOP
In his tweet, Joe Scarborough shared the article and then put the title of the article in his tweet too. However, it wasn’t in quotes, which directly implied that Scarbrough addressed the GOP through this tweet.
The tweet read, “Criminal defendants make terrible candidates — the GOP must free itself from Trump.” The article was written by Dan McLaughlin for New York Post following Trump's fourth indictment.
As Scarborough continues to double down on his anti-Trump stance on both ‘Morning Joe’ and his Twitter, the internet has not responded positively to this particular tweet.
Internet mocks Joe Scarborough
After ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough shared this article in his tweet, negative reactions, some of which mocked Scarborough began to pour in. Some people took issue with the fact that Scarborough was stating the “obvious.”
One person wrote, “It must have been weird to feel the need to state something so obvious,” while another tweeted, “Joe, Joe, Joe you always tweet the most obvious things. The @GOP has embraced #Fascism...there is no going back.”
Some believe that Scarborough is “terrified” as one person tweeted, “Not happening. You can beg all you want. You’re terrified.” Another person simply asked, “Why so scared?”
The internet has continued to mock Scarborough, and dragged ‘Morning Joe’ and MSNBC along as one person tweeted, “Of course this makes sense. The host of one of MSNBC's hate-Amercia shows, known for his extreme fairness to both sides of the political spectrum (hahahahahaha), tells Rs what to do.”
In addition, some Donald Trump supporters have also responded to Scarborough as one of them wrote, “Innocent until proven guilty. Remember….?”
