LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Good Morning America's star anchor Michael Strahan’s continued absence from the morning show has slowly become a concern for the viewers. With no update about the reason for his leave of absence from the show, fans and followers have no idea what to make of it. Strahan has confused them further by being active on social media.
The 51-year-old has been keeping his social media updated with posts about his clothing and grooming brand while also promoting his game show ‘The $100,000 Pyramid’ but has been silent on his absence from ‘GMA’. Now, the ex-NFL star has taken a trip down memory lane and posted a snap of himself from his days of being a New York Giants player, fueling more anxious speculation among fans about his unanswered tryst with ‘GMA’.
‘Those training camp days’
Despite his continued absence from the morning show, Strahan found the time to reminisce about his glorious past. He took to Instagram to post a throwback photo of himself sporting his number 92 New York Giants jersey from his time as a defensive end on the team. The Super Bowl champion played for the Giants for the entirety of his football career. The former NFL star captioned the post, “Those training camp days! Enjoy fellas... let's go @nygiants!!!” He followed it up with the hashtag “#OnceAGiantAlwaysAGiant.”
Michael was once again missing during the July 25 episode of ‘Good Morning America’ and was temporarily replaced by Linsey Davis. Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and DeMarco Morgan continued to host the second hour of the morning show. The former football star has not been on 'GMA' since Thursday, July 20. It is not clear where Michael is or why he has been absent but a throwback photo from his days as a player surely tells his fans that all’s well and Michael may be back soon.
‘I miss those days’
Michael’s throwback photo did create a lot of stir with people leaving heartwarming comments as he made fans reminisce about the days when he charmed and entertained them with his skills on the field. One fan, a football coach, joked and teased Michael, “I’m ready to make a comeback if you are!” while a second wrote, "Are you ready for some football I know I am.” A third was totally nostalgic and wanted Michael to return. “Oh, I miss those days! Could you maybe come back!” Another fan complimented the former NFL player and said, “Wow, I think you got better looking with age,” as a fifth suggested, “We sure this is a throwback pic?”
