JUAREZ, MEXICO: Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling made a striking duo as they attended the premiere of their upcoming film in Juárez, Mexico, on July 6. Robbie, the 33-year-old Australian actress, fully embraced the iconic Barbie character by donning a look reminiscent of the Earring Magic Barbie toy released in 1991.
She accessorized her outfit with dangling silver heart and star earrings, a matching belt, and pointed pink heels. Her blonde hair was styled with a side parting and '90s-inspired waves. Gosling, on the other hand, looked dapper in a pastel yellow suit, a fitted white shirt, and black loafers with gold buckles. The pair posed playfully, embodying the spirit of Barbie and Ken.

Also in attendance was America Ferrera, 39, who stars in the movie as Gloria. She looked chic in a black leather pencil skirt paired with a tucked-in white shirt. A black blazer with padded shoulders kept her warm, and she styled her black hair in a braid. The event was filled with excitement, including a musical performance and a confetti party.
Robbie has been sporting various dazzling pink looks while promoting the film. Earlier in the week, during a premiere in Seoul, South Korea, she stunned in two stylish pink outfits. One was a deep pink shimmering midi dress with a waist-cinching belt and mesh skirt, paired with matching heels. The other ensemble consisted of a hot pink blazer and midi skirt, complemented by a tie and white fedora hat.
What is real, What is not!
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, 'Barbie' director Greta Gerwig discussed an interesting dynamic that occurred during filming. She noted how fans and onlookers reacted differently to Robbie and Gosling during a roller skating scene shot in Venice Beach, California. Gerwig found it fascinating that people would approach Gosling, praise him, and high-five him, while merely observing Robbie. This experience made Robbie feel self-conscious, mirroring a theme in the film where Barbie Land represents a place of acceptance while the "real world" encourages hiding and self-doubt.
“When we were shooting at Venice Beach, with Margot and Ryan in neon skate outfits, it was fascinating because it was really happening in front of us,” Gerwig told the magazine. She further reminisced, "People would pass Ryan, give him a high-five and say, ‘Great, Ryan, you look great!” And they wouldn’t actually say anything to Margot”.
Robbie had previously expressed feeling humiliated when photos of her in a multicolored unitard and neon yellow roller skates for 'Barbie' went viral. The experience was discussed during her appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', where she described it as the most humiliating moment of her life.
