LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Madison Beer, who got meteoric fame after Justin Bieber tweeted her YouTube cover of Etta James' song 'At Last' when she was 13, recently opened up about her new studio album, 'Silence Between Songs', which released on Friday, September 15.
Through candid interviews, Beer shared about her future goals, meeting Bieber, and facing lonely days when her nudes were leaked.
Madison Beer opens up about her new album 'Silence Between Songs'
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Madison Beer said, "I’ve grown up a lot since Life Support," adding, "I’ve learned what I want to say, and I’m always trying to go with the flow and pull inspiration from whatever life throws at me," about her new album 'Silence Between Songs'.
As per the title, the songs are about the silences where Beer's music truly shines, allowing her to speak volumes and show vulnerable emotions.
The singer continued, "Every song is kind of different. If I come in with an idea, we’ll go to the lyrics first, and then we’ll just get on with it. Or if we want to start with some chords, we’ll do that," highlighting about her typical creative process.
Beer also stated, "I definitely like to keep my circle small. I mean, I’ve been working with the same producer now for both albums, I like to just stick with the same people."
She continued, "I just do things that I feel ready to share or ready to talk about, try not to rush into opening up about anything just because I feel like I should, you know?" adding, "I just take it easy on myself and do it as I feel, I just wanna take things one day at a time, and if today these things feel good to talk about, then I’ll happily talk about them."
Madison Beer says meeting Justin Bieber changed her life forever
In another recent interview with the Independent, Madison Beer talked about Justin Bieber's role in her life.
Bieber tweeted in 2012, "wow. 13 years old! she can sing. great job. #futurestar," which apparently transformed Beer's life from the weekend YouTube cover singer in Jericho, New York, who was the daughter of an interior designer and a real estate developer, to a polished young celebrity who could be catapulted in front of the camera.
"That was one of the most pivotal moments of my career meeting [Justin], it changed my life forever," said Beer.
Madison Beer seeks to release her emotions with 'Silence Between Songs'
Madison Beer feels that her second studio album, 'Silence Between Songs', has helped her release those emotions that she has been avoiding for quite some time.
When she was just 16, nude photos of her were leaked, leading to a significant amount of continuous online abuse. Beer admitted earlier this year that shortly after her explicit photos were exposed, she considered killing herself.
"There was a lot of very lonesome dark points for me that I felt like not many people or anyone could understand," said Beer, looking back at the event, adding, "I felt crazy. And I just made myself feel really horrible," as per the Independent interview.
