FIJI, OCEANIA: 'Love Island USA' Season 5 premiered with multiple twists and turns. With Victor and Carsten 'Bergie' Bergersen not getting any date with the major twists of eliminations, the episode unfolded thrilling drama. In the latest season of the Peacock show, the girls could choose whether they want to 'stick or twist' by standing on the five hearts on the beach.
'Love Island USA' girls could stick and twist at any time until the last boy is introduced. Once the girls 'twist' and leave a boy behind, they can't switch back. However, Anna Kurdys had to move Bergie after she was rejected by Leonardo.
Anna Kurdys calls Bergie 'nerdy'
Anna entered 'Love Island USA' so certain that she would find love there that she even brought her wedding gown. However, her decision to go with Leonardo didn't turn out well. Notably, Kassy, another competitor, also selected Leo. Leo eventually sensed a spark with Kassy leaving Anna alone herself. Bergie, on the other hand, was looking for a partner as well because no one had given him their heart. After spending time with Bergie, Anna felt that there was no connection between them. Anna noted that she had to initiate most of the conversation and that he seemed 'nerdy.' However, it was game time and all the Islanders were ready to play a match where they each got to pick someone to kiss. Bergie's name is called and he chose to kiss Anna. He took off his shirt before kissing Anna. But it seems that poor Bergie didn't have any prior experience. While the contestants squirmed uncomfortably, so did the viewers.
'That kiss between Bergie and Anna was hella awkward'
Bergie doesn't have any prior dating or kissing experience which was clearly noticeable in the latest episode. The viewers took to social media to mock his kiss. A Twitter user wrote, "The Bergie and Anna kiss? Omg that’s gotta be the worst kiss in #loveislandusa history across all countries." Another viewer added, "That kiss between Bergie and Anna was hella awkward." Another person noted, "Watching anna and bergie kiss was painful." Another Twitter user wrote, "I’m getting second hand embarrassment during that kiss what was that." Another critic penned, "Bergie that kiss??? 😞 he needs to put me out my misery that was probably the worst kiss I’ve seen in this show."
