NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Law & Order' star Vincent D’Onofrio, 63, appeared in a New York City court to file for divorce from his wife, Carin van der Donk, 51, on Monday, June 12. The couple, who had been married for 26 years and share two sons, is currently in the midst of a custody battle over their 15-year-old son, Luka.
Vincent initiated the divorce proceedings by filing the necessary papers at the Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday. Although many aspects of the divorce case have been resolved, the matter of "custody is unresolved," as stated by Judge Kathleen Waterman-Marshall. The court has scheduled the next hearing for September 19 to further address this issue.

Van der Donk is a model and photographer. Throughout her marriage to D'Onofrio, she has accompanied her husband to numerous movie premieres and red-carpet events. Despite their temporary separation in the early 2000s, they found a way to keep their marriage afloat.
