AUSTIN, TEXAS: Bill Maher was a recent guest on 'The Joe Rogan Experience'. Maher and Joe Rogan agreed on at least one thing during the UFC commentator's hugely popular podcast.
Rogan and Maher discussed Trump vs Biden and when Rogan attempted to compare Biden's reliability to that of former president and current GOP front-runner Donald Trump, Maher retaliated strongly.
Maher and Rogan discuss Trump vs Biden
Rogan started the conversation by saying, "My biggest issue is that [Biden] lies a lot." To which Maher suddenly replied, “Well, certainly not more than Trump."
“They both lie. I don’t think comparing Biden to Trump does anybody any good.” However, Maher countered, “They’re running against each other, so it’s necessary,” Maher said.
Biden didn't shy away from the conversation and explained that the reason he does not like "the guy who's in office right now," without comparing him to Trump is because "he’s mentally compromised."
Maher responded, “As if the other guy isn’t!” Rogan continued, “[Trump] speaks much clearer, he might be crazy. He might be a sociopath. It still doesn’t take away from the fact there’s something wrong with Biden.”
Rogan added, “He makes up words. He stumbles through things. He doesn’t seem to know where he is half the time. He's very very old. That’s my problem with him.”
Maher once again took a dig at the two candidates and said, “We’re living in a world where ‘perfect’ is not on the menu. These are the choices we're gonna have.”
After some discussion between the two about which candidate appeared to be in better condition, Maher conceded that Trump "looks and sounds a lot more hearty and strong. He is an urban roach. He gains strength by eating worse stuff. You cannot kill him."
“He’s also the only president who didn’t noticeably age,” Rogan pointed out. To which Maher replied by saying, “But he’s a criminal and he’s crazy and he’s stupid. And crazy and stupid are two different things."
Donald Trump's criminal charges
During the episode, the duo also began discussing Trump’s 91 criminal charges, including some that Rogan seemed unaware of.
It included the fact that while concurrently accusing Biden of stealing the election, Trump has been accused of organizing a fictitious slate of electors in seven pivotal states to falsely sign election results on official documents.
Maher said, “He tried every possible way of stealing this election,” adding, “He tried to do it through the courts. He tried to do it through State legislators. He tried to do it through intimidating Mike Pence. He tried to do it through the Justice Department."
"They talked about seizing voting machines! They talked about using the Army! You can’t really believe this guy is not worse than Joe Biden," said Maher.
He concluded, "I agree, Joe Biden is not a great president. And the Hunter Biden stuff is a stinky scandal that stinks to the high heaven. But if you think that it compares to what Trump tried to do, then you just cannot tell unlike things apart."
Rogan then wondered “Do you think [Trump] really believes they stole the election, or do you think he’s bullshitting?”
“Who gives a fuck?” Maher retorted, saying, “It doesn’t matter … all the people around him told him he lost.” He later added that Trump himself admitted it, saying, “And one of his quotes that they have on record said, ‘I don’t want people to know I lost this election.'”
