DULUTH, GEORGIA: Jaylan Banks has opened up about his romance with 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum Falynn Pina. He accused Falynn of grooming him and said he lost her the same way he gained her, which got the internet rallying against him.
Falynn and Jaylan announced their breakup on Instagram after less than two years of dating. The engaged couple reported another unfortunate event in their lives, a miscarriage, just a month before their split. Falynn claimed at the time that their family was "filled with tears and broken hearts" after the loss of their second child, Jean Pina. Falynn did not say how far along in her pregnancy she was at the time of their loss.
'Lost her how I got her'
Jaylan recently appeared on Relationships Matter Live, where he discussed Falynn and said, "I lost her how I got her."
When asked how their connection began, he stated, "I was groomed." Further, referring to his ex as a "narcissist," he claimed that Falynn groomed him and convinced him that she was being wronged by her partner at the time. Jaylan thinks he has a better understanding of the issue now that she has a new man in her life. "That's what narcissists do. They groom you. They make the other person look bad." He claims he felt sorry for her at the time and considered her a good friend.
Falynn was married to Simon Guobadia for 5 years until he filed for divorce, as you may recall. Simon accused his ex of infidelity with Jaylan. He released many tapes in 2021 that revealed Jaylan and Falynn's relationship. Jaylan and Falynn welcomed a daughter in 2022. Jaylan is now claiming that Falynn has a new guy in her life, whom her nine-year-old calls "daddy."
'You got what was coming to you'
Reacting to his comment on getting groomed, people on Instagram chastized Jaylan saying, "Man you got played, she ain’t groom you." Another person chimed in, "I stopped listening right after he said he was groomed cause BOY bye." Other users added, "KIDS ARE GROOMED! You are grown sir. Just say you fell for the okie doke and keep it moving. ?" A fourth user complained, "How you get them is how you lose them. And using the term “grooming” is disrespectful to people who are actually victims. You’re grown. You knew that lady was married when you started messing with her. You got what was coming to you."
One user commented, "That's seduction, honey, not grooming. You were seduced and you fell for it cause you wanted to, and naively believed her lies. We have to take responsibility for our choices." Some pointed out, "Not To Take Away From Grooming Culture, HOWEVER: You’re A Grown Man Who KNOWINGLY Fooled Around With A MARRIED Woman. Got With Her “Legally” & Had A Baby. That’s Not Grooming My Boy, Thats Called Stupidity. You Were Her Crutch To Get Over Her Marriage & Once She Did, She Got Over You. Take The L Champ!" Another person noted, "While grooming is a type of manipulation, it's not a synonym for it. Just say you got played sir, it's easier ?." One wrote, "The situation was weird from the beginning…."
