LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ correspondent Deborah Roberts has made a small blunder with her new Instagram post.
The 62-year-old American journalist seems to have revealed the wedding date of her colleague Robin Roberts and her partner, Amber Laign, which the couple had been keeping under wraps for a while.
Robin and Amber have been keeping their date a secret, only mentioning that it would be a summer wedding and that they will inform everyone when they are ready.
However, it now appears that the cat's out of the bag after Deborah confirmed in her Instagram post that Robin’s wedding is exactly 'three weeks' away.
Is Robin Roberts getting married on Labor Day weekend?
'GMA' threw a grand on-air bachelorette party for Robin Roberts and Amber Laign. The celebration for the brides-to-be featured active participation from many co-workers, who also shared pictures of themselves with the couple on various social media platforms.
Deborah Roberts also seized the opportunity to take a photo with Robin and Amber, later sharing it on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the picture, Deborah donned white pants and a shirt, paired with a pale blue blazer and a pink feather boa on top.
Robin and Amber were both dressed in all-white attire. Robin further adorned herself with a white shirt and white blazer, along with a bride-to-be sash. Amber also sported the bride-to-be sash, a V-neck blouse, white dress pants, and black heels.
In the picture, the trio were all smiles, rejoicing in the moment, However, Deborah gave away their secret wedding date in the caption.
She wrote, ”What fun celebrating @RobinRoberts and Amber on @GMA today. Their nuptials are 3 weeks away. Love these two!"
In three weeks, the nation will celebrate the Labor Day Weekend which will go on from September 2 to September 4. Given Deborah’s revelation, it appears that Robin and Amber's wedding might take place over the Labor Day weekend.
Since it’s an extended holiday, the couple will look to make the best use of it for a grand celebration and most importantly to exchange vows.
‘GMA’ Michael Strahan’s slip-up about wedding date before Deborah Roberts
Only recently, Robin Roberts’ co-host Michael Strahan also hinted at the wedding date.
During their on-air celebration on ‘GMA,’ Michael brought the show back from a commercial break, divulging to the audience that the live "bachelorette party was still in full swing.”
Michael then mentioned that the wedding would be happening in "a few weeks” which was once again in complete contradiction to what Robin has been saying for a while.
His slight slip-up gave the fans another hint that the wedding might be taking place sooner than expected.
