LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Offset is dispelling claims of him cheating on his rapper 'wife' Cardi B. The hiphop icons have never had a problem with showing their affection for one another. However, they have recently been in the news due to cheating allegations.
Offset, 31, clarified the situation on Monday following the publication of a new interview with the 'Clout' hitmaker for Angela Yee's 'Way Up with Yee' podcast. The Georgia native wrote for his 22 million followers, "My wife f**ked a (N-word) on me gang yall (N-word) know how I come."
'That's my wife, I love her to death..'
"That's my wife. I love her to death," Offset said in his conversation with Yee before going into detail about the incident in question. The two, he claimed, had been "going back and forth" in their argument, and "if you got a New York woman, you know she's a pitbull at the mouth."
He went on to say that a few rounds of Casamigos Tequila were the only thing that motivated someone to post such accusations online. Offset admitted, "We crazy for each other." The Migos rapper also acknowledged that their relationship is still affected by his past transgressions. He shared, "To be honest, I hate the fact that every time she has an issue with somebody else, they bringing me up and my past up. My past be covering up everything I done did. All this time I ain't did nothing."
'The Love and Hip Hop' alum was proposed to by Offset in Philadelphia during Power 99's annual Powerhouse concert in October 2017, despite Cardi's later claims that the couple was already wed. She tweeted in regards to a September 20, 2017, Atlanta ceremony, "One morning in September we woke up and decided to get married. ... I said I do, with no dress no makeup, and no ring! ... at least ya can stop saying I had a baby out of wedlock," as reported by People.
When Offset publicly begged for his wife's return
Their union reportedly ended in 2018 when Offset publicly begged for his wife's return during a Rolling Loud concert in Los Angeles in December of that year. Offset interrupted her set and apologized while carrying 2,000 roses. A clear request was written in the elaborate floral design: "Take Me Back Cardi." His attempt seemed to be unsuccessful, and the room's lights were briefly turned off for what seemed to be an argument between the two.
Cardi later said in an Instagram video, "It became public, and I just want things to die down, I just need time so we can see eye to eye. I can't predict the future, I don't know." Cardi and Offset's marriage was allegedly "irretrievably broken" and "there are no prospects for a reconciliation," according to the divorce petition Cardi submitted in September 2020. The top-charting artists have since resolved the issue, though.
Wave Set Cephus, who will be 1 in September 2023, and Kulture Kiari Cephus, who is 5 years old, are the couple's children. In addition, Offset has children from prior relationships with Kalea Marie Cephus, 8, sons Kody, 8, and Jordan, 13, who is also a musician, as per reports.
