KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Matt Blashaw, the DIY Network series 'Yard Crashers' star, and TV program host has been married to Lindsay Archer since 2017. And to no one's surprise, they met while filming a property makeover
Matt has been a home renovation TV personality for over a decade, but he has been in the home industry for almost 20 years. It all started when he was a teenager and used to assist his father with building jobs. After a while, their partnership turned into a company, and Matt formally began his profession as a licensed realtor in California in 2007. He had to work hard to achieve the respect and experience that we all see him receive now. He is now one of the most well-known hosts on HGTV and the DIY Network and is about to kick off the second season of 'Build it Forward' as a host. Aside from that, he continues to operate as a realtor and builder in Orange County, California.

Who is Matt Blashaw married to?
Matt has been married to his wife, Lindsay, since 2017. The couple met when Lindsay was recruited by a landscape designer to create a plant wall in the Kansas City property where Matt was also working, according to HGTV. Lindsay, who had never watched an episode of 'Yard Crashers,' arrived and saw Matt and thought he was "cute," but she also thought he was "crazy" since he was rushing about the yard.
Matt claimed that they exchanged "a couple of comments," and that he liked her sense of humor. He then wanted to learn more about her, so he requested her number from their contractor. Matt contacted her, admiring both her plant wall and her beauty, and they went on their first date just a few days later. Their relationship has bloomed ever since.
Matt proposed to Lindsay at a Dana Point beach in California in March 2017, just a few months after their initial encounter. Lindsay married Matt on September 16, 2017, exchanging vows on the same Dana Point beach. Jace William Blashaw, the couple's first child, was born on July 31, 2018, and Matt regularly posts pictures of his son on his Instagram account. Lindsay's social media profiles, on the other hand, are set to private. According to Matt's Instagram account, the family is doing well these days, and the couple recently took their son Jace to a Monster Jam gaming event.

Matt 'needed to take the leap and expand business'
Matt went to college, graduated, and jumped right into the IT industry after completing numerous rounds of the building work as a child. His electrical expertise and tech zeal got him a position at Disney, where he spent five years honing his abilities. He became a private electrical contractor after becoming dissatisfied with his job. It was here that he realized he could do more than just fix house circuit boards and began his foray into home remodeling. This love quickly turned into a job as a broker with Century 21.
He became famous among the villagers and reasoned, "Why not increase his popularity?" In 2006, Matt tried out for television for the first time in a competition called 'Stud Finder'. After appearing in other series such as 'Project Xtreme', 'Money Hunters', 'Blog Cabin', and 'Professional Grade', he found success. But it didn't end there. He made it as a host and guest on programs including CNN's 'Newsroom', CNBC's 'Squawk Box', and HGTV's 'Early Show'.
'Build It Forward' Season 2 premieres on Saturday, June 10, at 9 pm ET/PT.
