AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joseph James Rogan aka Joe Rogan is a name that needs no introduction. This is all thanks to the name he has established across various fields, being a podcaster, a comedian, an actor, and a renowned UFC color commentator.
Over the years, Rogan’s podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ has grown to become the most popular podcast in the world. With people of various fields invited to converse with the host, the episodes engage guests in intriguing conversations about politics, science and some lighthearted topics. Despite all of this, Rogan is someone who likes to keep his personal life to himself.
Joe Rogan is a father of three
While Rogan had an impressive career, he has also been the subject of some strange rumors and controversies. Yet, not much is known about him in terms of his personal life. The 55-year-old has had a happy marriage with Jessica Ditzel, with the two tying the knot in 2009. In these 22 years, Rogan has raised two children with Ditzel, all of them girls. His oldest daughter, 26-year-old Kayja Rose, is adopted. She is Ditzel’s daughter from her previous boyfriend. In May 2008, Rogan and his wife Jessica welcomed their first daughter Lola Rogan. After two years, in 2010, the couple welcomed their second daughter Rosy Rogan.
Jessica was supposedly a cocktail server when they both first fell in love. They started dating in 2001, after meeting while she was working as a server at a pub in California. After dating for eight years, they decided to get married. Ditzel worked as a waitress and was also a model. Throughout her career as a model, she has worked for a few different companies. She apparently works as a TV show producer right now.
Kayja Rose is the daughter of Jesica Ditzel and her former partner, Dino Conner, who was the lead singer for the band ‘H-town’. Kayja shares the same interests as her biological dad and is currently a budding music artist. She has a good social media presence. Rose has also released her very own album, ‘Tipsy’. Joe officially adopted her in 2009, the same year he married Jessica. Although Rogan and Kayja Rose appear to get along well, Rose rarely mentions him on her social media.
'Be vulnerable with your children'
During his podcast episode with Theo Von, Rogan talked about his experience as a parent and the things that made him nervous starting out. “I was nervous to be vulnerable, nervous to love something that much, nervous to have that kind of responsibility, nervous about all of those things, you know?” Rogan said. He continued by saying you should be vulnerable with your children, “It changes you.” He then said that the kind of person you are before you become a parent should evolve when you do become one, stating that you should become a better person. "Don’t just be your children’s parents, be their friends," said Rogan.
In an interview, Rogan explained the way that he treats his children and addresses them as equals.“I watch them, I talk to them, I communicate with them,” he said. “I didn’t have a good childhood, so for me, it’s important to be a good dad and spend as much time as I can communicating with them.”
