SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Elon Musk, the owner and CTO of Twitter, announced on Sunday, July 23, that he was seeking to modify the company's logo. He tweeted, "And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." The social networking platform's billionaire owner added in a post on the microblogging site, "If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we'll make (it) go live worldwide tomorrow."
Musk shared a picture of a blinking "X" and subsequently acknowledged in a Twitter Spaces audio chat that the Twitter logo would change, answering "Yes" and adding that "it should have been done a long time ago." The company changed its name to X Corp under Musk's leadership after he acquired Twitter in October 2022. Twitter users are enraged as a result of his viral announcement, with one user saying, "Someone stop this man."
Is Elon Musk changing Twitter logo?
Musk declared on his official Twitter account that Twitter would adopt an "X" as its new logo and that all birds would vanish from the site. Musk published a user poll with the subject being, "Change default platform color to black," and he promised that if a strong enough X logo was submitted, it would go live globally.
According to Twitter's website, the blue bird emblem was "our most recognizable asset." "That's why we're so protective of it," it continued. In April, Dogecoin's Shiba Inu dog temporarily became the symbol for Twitter, which contributed to a rise in the market value of the meme coin, as per New York Post.
'a xeet or a twex'
Soon, Twitter was overflowing with comments. A user tweeted, "He’s changing this whole app around, to the point it’s not even gonna be Twitter someone stop this man he’s so irritating." Another person shared a meme with the caption, "Meanwhile mainstream media." "So it will be "teXting" or "Xting" instead of tweeting?" said another. "Ah man the bird is such a strong brand," noted another user. "Twitter falls, and X rises," claimed one person. "A xeet or a twex," remarked another
