LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ana Navarro, the longtime host of ABC morning talk show ‘The View’ recently took to Instagram with a storytime video to explain her hectic travel situation.
On Sunday, July 16, Navarro shared a video in which she described how her flight that was canceled was 'back on'. Meanwhile, 'The View' host also realized that she has forgotten her wallet amid the chaos before boarding her flight. It seems like it just wasn't Navarro's day as the host further detailed how her husband, Al Cardenas, couldn't drive to the airport due to loss of electricity from the storms.
Is Ana Navarro OK?
In the selfie video, Navarro could be seen sitting on the plane and holding her dog, Cha Cha, in her lap without wearing any makeup. "My God, you all, it's been a feat today. You thought you had a bad day," she started off in the video. "So I woke up this morning and I have a notice from American Airlines telling me that this flight is canceled. Then 30 mins later, they tell me the flight is back on," she explained.
Then, Ana continued, she discovered she had left her wallet at home once she arrived at the airport and required her husband, Cardenas, to deliver it to her. After contacting Cardenas several times and making jokes about sending a "messenger pigeon" to try and get through to him, she discovered that he had his phone set to "do not disturb," which meant that her calls were probably being muted. But when she did hear from him, she discovered that the power had been cut out due to the thunderstorms, so the generator was unable to open the driveway gate. Cardenas, 75, also said his Uber card wouldn't work at the time. After he was finally able to make it to the airport and she got to her gate, it was announced that her flight was delayed due to the storms.
She chuckled before joking that she would now have to be her husband's "servant" for the following month. "And this is everything it's taken for me to get to The View tomorrow," she said.
She concluded, "I'm never, ever going to forget my wallet again." She wrote in the caption of the video, "Lord have mercy. Today has been a lot. But I think I’m good now. I just heard them say, 'boarding is complete and we are ready for takeoff.' See you tomorrow on @theviewabc, amigos y familiar."
Is 'The View’ shutting down?
Despite the ongoing actors' strike, there has been uncertainty among viewers about the future of the six hosts on the show. Some speculated that the pre-recorded Friday, July 14 episode indicated a potential walkout or their affiliation with the SAG-AFTRA union. In that episode, Ana, Joy, Sara, Sunny, and Alyssa discussed various hot topics, while Whoopi was absent as per her usual Friday schedule. Fans are eager for live shows to resume on Monday to see if any of the hosts will show support for the strike. It's worth noting that the show has been without writers since May due to the Writer's Guild of America strike.
