HIDDEN HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian showed off her little gold metallic bikini with a sizzling mirror selfie on Instagram on September 6 amid the release of her 'American Horror Story' trailer
However, the internet slammed 'The Kardashians' star for what appeared to be a tribute to the late musician Steve Harwell.
Kim, 42, the queen of bikini selfies, posted two stunning selfies for her 364 million Instagram followers while wearing nothing but a tiny bikini.
Kim looked stunning in the chic bikini and a full face of makeup in the photo carousel.
She wore her raven-colored hair down in a traditional Hollywood blowout and finished her look with a seductive brown lip.
"All that glitters is gold," the Skims founder captioned the photo, which has had over 719K likes and counting.
Many of her fans, including her sister Khloe Kardashian, went to the comments section shortly after she uploaded the swimsuit photographs. The co-founder of Good American wrote three sparkling emojis and "liked" Kim's post.
Internet is not impressed with Kim Kardashian's 'thirst trap'
Meanwhile, Kim's followers grumbled at the outfit and the caption that accompanied it.
Kim's caption is a lyric from Smash Mouth's hit 'All Star', from which the lead vocalist died on September 4.
One user wrote, "Some people sure love themselves."
While another one quipped, "The Steve Harwell (smash mouth) dedication post we have been waiting for."
One user noted, "Someone dies and you use their lyrics to post a thirst trap."
A fourth user advised, "Kim the smash mouth guy just died. Take this down."
One user joked, "Kim there’s people that are dying- literally."
One person tried to confirm, "Did you know the guy that sings this song just died?"
Another user asked, "Is this her tribute post to Steve Harwell?"
