Why is Kevin Hart in a wheelchair?
Kevin Hart ended up in a wheelchair after losing to ex-Patriots player Stevan Ridley. He described the entire incident in the video on his Instagram page.
He said, "I am in a wheelchair. Why? Because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff; tried to go out there and do some young man stuff and I was told to sit my a** down."
He then gave a shoutout to Stevan and said that he would tell the story before the former NFL player. He placed a bet with Stevan Ridley after a debate over who is faster out of the two. However, it did not end well for Kevin Hart.
He said, "Those who know me know I'm pretty fast. Stevan said, 'Kevin ain't no way you gonna beat me.' Steven is ex-runnerback, played for New England Patriots, very good guy."
He later added, "We get out there, we run a 40-yard dash." He continued, "Guys, I blew all my s**t. Tore my lower abdomen, my adductors. I don't even know what that is, but I tore 'em."
He emphasized, "I can't walk... This is 44."
He jokingly added, "I'll tell you what you just lost son. You lost every opportunity of me going and racing you anytime soon. It's over. Kevin is over. Sit down. What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing?"
He exclaimed, clearly annoyed with himself, "Why did I even race? Stupidest s**t ever. Now I can't walk 'cause I'm somewhere trying to get the title of the fastest [man] at the barbeque."
After he posted the video, many comments hilariously asked him about his health and shared their advice with the 44-year-old.
Actor Will Smith commented, "Getting older is REAL!! Heal Up, Kev!!" Another friend of his commented, "You gotta warm up for about 10 minutes big fella!"
A fellow comedian of his said, "WELLLPPPP! Deeeeng homie. It’s real in these 40yr old skreetz. Getting better soon," while a fourth said, "Nah, all that off a 40 is crazy."
A fan of his said, "Get well soon old dude, enjoy those 40s because 50 doesn't require a race for pain. You just get up in the morning and bam," while another wrote, "Welp… wait til u get 50! Hope you heal speedily."
