PROVO, UTAH: Donny Osmond is not only a legendary singer and entertainer but also a doting grandfather of 14. The former teen idol, who married his wife Debbie in 1978, has five sons with her: Don, Jeremy, Brandon, Christopher, and Joshua.
Their youngest son Joshua welcomed his baby, Osmond's 14th grandchild, Dune Tyler, earlier this month. The 'Puppy Love' singer posted a photo of the newborn on Instagram and wrote: “Thank you, Chris and Alta for bringing another beautiful grandson into Debbie’s and my life. Welcome to our family, Dune Tyler Osmond. You truly are an angel from heaven. ❤️”
How many grandchildren does Donny Osmond have?
Donny loves spending time with his large family, especially during the holidays. He revealed how he and his family celebrated Christmas last year on a seasonal-themed train in Utah. He posted a video on his Instagram that showed his wife, children, and grandchildren having fun and singing along to “Feliz Navidad.” He captioned the video: “Debbie and I had all of our children and grandchildren on the North Pole Express.”
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Donny joked that he has enough grandchildren to fill “several soccer teams.” He said: “It’s sweet chaos, is what it’s called. We had a Fourth of July party just not long ago and had everybody over. It was…we had the time of our lives. It was fantastic.”
Family is the most important thing for him
He added that he has 14 grandchildren in total. Donny also said that his wife has been his rock and his source of stability throughout his complicated life as a celebrity. “Debbie has given my life stability,” he told People in 2022. “She keeps my feet on the ground.” He also said that family is the most important thing for him, more than fame or success. "There was something simple about her, and I lived a very complicated life," he said of his wife. “That’s what balances my life out,” he said. “Family is the most important thing, because the curtain will come down eventually, and then what do you have?”
