LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The eldest son of NBA star LeBron James, Bronny James, is recovering after having a cardiac arrest on Monday, July 24, as he was working out at the University of Southern California, where he plays basketball. According to TMZ, the 18-year-old was initially in critical condition when an ambulance was called from USC's Galen Center at 9:26 am to take him to the hospital. A spokeswoman for the James family confirmed in a statement to People on Tuesday morning that Bronny is now in stable condition and no longer in the intensive care unit (ICU).
On Tuesday, July 25, afternoon, Bryce Maximus James, Bronny's younger brother, who is also a basketball player, shared a message on his Instagram story expressing his support for his brother. Bryce, 16, posted a heartwarming image on his Instagram story to show his affection for his brother after his hospitalization. The photo shows Bryce and 18-year-old Bronny walking side by side with their backs turned to the camera. The image had a red heart emoji added by Bryce. The brothers share a close connection and a passion for basketball. They also have an eight-year-old sister named Zhuri Nova.

Even though LeBron James and Savannah James are NBA royalty, their most significant titles are father and mother. The couple shares three kids together: LeBron "Bronny" James Jr, 18, Bryce Maximus James, 16, and Zhuri Nova, 8. LeBron "Bronny" James Jr
The couple's first child, LeBron "Bronny" James Jr, was born on October 6, 2004. Bronny has been playing basketball since he was a youngster and is eligible to enter the NBA as early as the 2024–2025 season. The Los Angeles Lakers star is evidently friendly with all of his kids on social media, and in 2020, he posted an Instagram photo of himself cradling a newborn Bronny on his chest to mark Bronny's milestone 16th birthday.
Bronny has achieved great success in his own right. In a competitive game played in LeBron's Ohio hometown of Akron, Bronny led his high school, Sierra Canyon School, to a victory over his father's alma mater, St Vincent-St Mary High School. He was on the Sports Illustrated cover in July 2021 at the age of 16, making him six months younger than his father was on his own cover in 2002. LeBron admitted that he intends to do "whatever it takes" to play basketball with his eldest kid during his final season as a professional.
Bronny turned 18 in October 2022, and his father celebrated the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post. LeBron also shared a photo and video of him and his son playing basketball on Instagram to mark Bronny's endorsement deal with Nike, which transpired a few days after Bronny turned 18. The delighted father, a Nike athlete since the beginning of his professional career, captioned the photo on Instagram, writing, "The Legacy Continues On!! Congrats Young King!!"
Soon after, Bronny decided to play college basketball and committed to the University of Southern California (USC). The young athlete revealed his decision in an Instagram post from May 2023, when he also included a picture of himself in the Trojans' locker room. Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest in July 2023 while working out at USC. The following day, a spokesperson for the James family issued a statement stating, "Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU."
Bryce Maximus James
On June 14, 2007, in the midst of the 2007 NBA Finals, Bryce Maximus James was welcomed to the James family. According to a spokesperson for the couple, "LeBron and Savannah are overjoyed with the birth of their son and are looking forward to bringing him home to his big brother, LeBron Jr" In 2017, LeBron celebrated Bryce's 10th birthday by posting a video of himself on Instagram singing 'Happy Birthday' to him.
Bryce completed his graduation in 2021. Bryce plays basketball, just like his dad and older brother before him, and occasionally posts pictures from his school matches on his Instagram account. He got his first basketball scholarship offer from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in August 2022.
Zhuri Nova James
On October 22, 2014, LeBron and Savannah welcomed their third child, a daughter named Zhuri Nova James, one year after their wedding. Young and stylish, Zhuri assisted in the 2020 Fashion Row apparel line debut of Janie and Jack x Harlem when she was just 5 years old. In regards to hosting the event, Zhuri told People, "I'm most excited about the fashion and talking to the designers." She added that she "practiced" with her mother in advance of the big event.
Zhuri attended the premiere of her father's film 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' in July 2021 with her parents. LeBron posted a touching Instagram tribute in honor of his daughter's 8th birthday in October 2022. In addition to a picture of the delighted father's tattoo, which features a picture of Zhuri as a child, his Instagram post also featured a picture of the father-daughter pair posing in coordinating beige overalls.
