LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There's a lot happening in the world right now, and while people are talking about all sorts of things on social media platforms, one incident remains in focus. In recent days, there have been sexual allegations against Marvel star Tenoch Huerta, which were made public by saxophonist Maria Elena Rios. Since then, both Huerta and Rios have been under public scrutiny and the Internet has been divided.
Huerta has finally broken his silence after making a statement regarding Ríos' accusations, calling them untrue, Variety reports. The star also revealed the nature of his relationship with Rios, and this statement has once again caused an uproar on social media platforms. People have taken over Twitter to discuss Huerta's statement, and they haven't held back.
'You don't prepare for something you didn't do'
The internet did not hold back from dissecting Huerta's statement on his Instagram story, which he made earlier today. Each of his posts was scrutinized by his fans and those who wanted to support Rios. All tweets have been loosely translated from Spanish. One Twitter user is appalled by Huerta seeking legal help before the accusations were made as they write, “First @TenochHuerta he denies accusations made by Elena Ríos and then he assures that he prepared his legal defense months before he was accused of sexual assault. Like this or more guilty? What did he do to Elena to make her prepare her legal defense months before they exhibited him??!!!” Others too share this though as one writes, “In other words, the "innocent" prepared a legal defense because he knew that he would be accused of something he did not commit? Or could it be that he knew his guilt and, faced with the possibility of a complaint, prepared his legal defense? And by the way @TenochHuerta do you already pay alimony? That is also a type of violence,” and another tweet reads, “You don't prepare for something you didn't do. Or does he have superpowers?”
People are debating on whether or not any form of justice will be seen in this case as one writes, “Because there is NO justice because she has no levers other than social networks and that's how we all find out, if something happens to her, it's because of this individual.” Of course, after this statement, the mention of Marvel comes and goes, considering Huerta’s last big hit was a Marvel project. A Twitter user says, “The narrative of this guy will surely be that he already knew that the problem was coming, blaming the victim. For the frivolous and gossipy note, incidentally another problem for @MarvelStudios.” The general consensus amongst the public remains suspicious of Huerta seeking help before Rios went public, however, some fans of Huerta remain hopeful as they write, “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. I already told this person, I will unfollow Tenoch if he is proven guilty.” Only time will tell how the situation proceeds, and whether or not people will hear from Huerta again.
