LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Adele’s Las Vegas residency is proving to be an exciting affair with countless viral moments. Most recently, the British songstress ignited marriage rumors after casually referring to her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul as her “husband.”
Naturally, fans were left to wonder whether the ‘Hello’ singer has indeed tied the knot with Paul, 41.
In a TikTok clip that went viral over the weekend, Adele was seen calling Rich Paul her “husband” while responding to a fan's proposal.
During Adele’s concert in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 16, a female fan asked the ‘Easy on Me’ singer from the audience earnestly, “Will you marry me?”
To which, the 35-year-old crooner replied, “You can't marry me. I'm straight, my love, and my husband's here tonight.”
The fan was, however, determined and said, “Can you try?” to which Adele responded firmly, “No, I don't want to try. I'm with Rich. You're crazy, leave me alone.”
How long have Adele and Rich Paul been dating?
The ‘Skyfall’ singer has been dating Paul, who is LeBron James’s agent, for more than two years now, They went public with their relationship for the first time in July 2021. The duo were photographed in the courtside together during an NBA match.
In June 2023, during another concert of her Las Vegas residency, the ‘Send My Love’ singer famously declared that she wanted to stay “married” to Rich Paul for the rest of her life.
In a clip that went viral on the Internet, the lovelorn singer was seen declaring to the audience, “I intend to be married for the rest of my life to my man,” referring to Paul.
An insider told Hollywood Life in November 2021 that the Grammy-winning superstar’s relationship with Paul is “different” than all her other relationships including her relationship with her first husband Simon Konecki.
During another concert appearance in late August, Adele, who is already mother to a son Angelo with her former husband Konecki, revealed that she is open to the idea of becoming a mother again and is "collecting" baby names.
When a pregnant concertgoer asked the musician to choose a name for her unborn child, Adele shared with the audience at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, “I really want to be a mom again soon.”
Sharing that she has already been collecting names, Adele said, “I've actually been writing lists. So every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone,” per Daily Mail.
When the audience member asked her to choose between Parker and Spencer, she also revealed Paul’s pick, as the ‘Roll in the Deep’ singer said, “I can't say Parker because Rich likes that name!”
Fans take Adele's words as confirmation that she's secretly married to Rich Paul
A fan quipped at the incident, "Caklling (sic) him "HER HUSBAND" is hardly a rumour."
Reacting to Adele's rumored marriage, a fan seemed to be heartbroken and tweeted, "Adele called rich paul her husband i am not okay."
However, someone else went ahead and said, "Rich Paul don’t do it she’ll be ready for a divorce in less than three years."
