Martin Brundle might have the most thankless task in all of broadcasting which has been further exemplified by an interaction with basketball legend Shaquille 'Shaq' O'Neal. As is customary at every grand prix, the Sky Sports reporter attempts to speak to the biggest names and celebrities that are in attendance at that particular race. This weekend saw the Las Vegas grand prix take place which was won by Max Verstappen but it's often the celebrities that steal the show and this time it was Shaq's turn. Brundle had attempted to have a few friendly words with the NBA icon who was a guest of Red Bull on the grid. However, the 7ft 1in colossus was in no mood for talking and was more eager to pose for photos. Brundle stood his ground though and waited for Shaq to finish and as the 51-year-old strode past he managed to get a microphone in the former LA Lakers stars' face. However, Shaq response was a lot shorter than his size, only saying "Lewis Hamilton baby" in response to the reporter. Brundle sarcastically responded with: "Lewis Hamilton, baby. That’ll cover it,.” The veteran reporter added: “Yeah, it’s okay. I’ve had a great television career so, honestly, it doesn’t really matter, does it, if it’s over this evening?” Although Brundle is used to these type of awkward interactions with major stars it still didn't stop people from thinking that Shaq's behaviour was rude and ignorant. Brundle has also had awkward run ins on F1 grids with the likes of Machinegun Kelly, Cara Delevingne, Megan Thee Stallion and Brad Pitt. He has had some fun on the grid recently, such as when he met Eurovision legend Sam Ryder.

Olivia Rodrigo recently dropped the music video for her second single 'bad idea, right?' from her sophomore album GUTS and fans couldn't help but notice some references from iconic TV shows and films. The pop-rock song is all about leaving your friends and lying to them about meeting up with an ex-boyfriend (always a bad idea), and the music video plays out this exact scenario where Olivia leaves a house party to reconnect with her ex - with some obstacles getting in the way. Here is a breakdown of all the different TV and films that were referenced: Glee Perhaps the clearest reference of them all was when Olivia was on the bus and ends getting a red slushie chucked on her, ruining her outfit. Anyone watching TV in the 2010s will know that's a shoutout to Glee where members of McKinley High's Glee Club would often receive a slushie to the face. We know Olivia is a fan of Glee and the show even got a mention in another song of hers 'Deja vu', from her previous album SOUR, where the lyrics go: "Watching reruns of Glee, being annoying singing in harmony..." Euphoria Euphoria is one of the biggest teen shows of recent years and so it's no surprise there was a reference in Roderigo's video in the form of the singer channelling Maddie (Alexa Demie) with her persistent knocking. While Maddie was knocking to go to the bathroom, Roderigo was knocking on her ex-boyfriend's front door. Empire Records (1995) and Can't Hardly Wait (1998) Olivia is known for her vintage fashion looks and her outfit in the music video took inspiration from a look Liv Tyler's character Corey Mason wore in the 1995 film Empire Records. The outfit that was referenced was a pale blue jumper but instead of the tartan skirt Liv wore in the film, Olivia wore a silver sequined skirt. Danielle Goldberg, a stylist on the music video revealed this in an Instagram Story where she posted a still from Olivia's video along with images from 90s movies such Can't Hardly Wait (1998) and Empire Records (1995) with the image of Tyler, calling it the “90s mood board of [her] dreams." Gary Lineker has called out Elon Musk for content he’s been subjected to on Twitter/X, and it’s not for the first time. The Match of the Day presenter hit out at the CEO of the social media site and replied to a “scam” new link which falsely claimed that Lineker was stepping away from his job in the media. The former England footballer responded to an account with a blue tick and 28 followers, a link with the caption: “Gary Lineker says goodbye and ends his career as a sports journalist.” “This is a scam. Do not click on it. So much of this on here now @elonmusk,” Lineker wrote. Lineker has been critical of Musk since he took over at Twitter. In a recent interview with the Guardian, the sports pundit said the tech mogul was bad at running the social media platform, and called him "rubbish". He said: "As for Elon Musk, I think perhaps the most interesting thing for me is that, for someone that’s spent so much money on Twitter, he is actually not very good on Twitter. He’s rubbish. I think that’s quite amusing.” Lineker also previously challenged Twitter/X and Musk after his son received abuse on the platform. Musk bought Twitter last year and since doing so has been criticised for making a number of unpopular changes like making people pay for their blue ticks and renaming Twitter 'X' recently.
