Elliot Page poses topless revealing he never thought he 'could experience this'
Elliot Page has expressed the joy he feels after his transition in a new Instagram photo where he posed for a shirtless selfie as he soaked up the sun. The 'Umbrella Academy' actor got candid in the post to their 5.9m followers about the dysphoria he used to experience during the hot summer weather. He also shared how he used cover up with an oversized t-shirt. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt - or layers and oh so sweaty - constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T," Page wrote. But that has since changed, as their latest photo shows him embracing the shirtless look, while sporting a baseball cap and chain. "It feels so f’ing good soaking in the sun now, I never thought I could experience this, the joy I feel in my body," the actor added. "I am so grateful for what gender affirming care has allowed me and I look forward to sharing more of my journey soon. #transjoy." Page came out as a transgender man back in December 2020 and in the following year they posted a shirtless pic to display the results of their top surgery. Also in 2021, Page sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss how gender affirming care has made him feel comfortable in his own body. “Getting out of the shower and the towel’s around your waist and you’re looking at yourself in the mirror and you’re just like, ‘There I am.’ And I’m not having the moment where I’m panicked," he said. “It’s being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body for the — probably the first time.” Meanwhile, Page has a new book coming out called "Pageboy: A Memoir," that is set to be released next month on June 6. Taylor Swift fans are helping Jude Bellingham win the Golden Boy award
Taylor Swift fans are helping Jude Bellingham win the Golden Boy award
It appears Jude Bellingham could win the Golden Boy award thanks to all thanks to dedicated Swifties. In an unlikely crossover, the Real Madrid and England player is in the lead to win the prestigious award for best player in Europe under the age of 21. Notable past winners of the prize include Lionel Messi ,Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Raheem Sterling and Wayne Rooney. Alongside the 20-year-old in this year's contenders is Barcelona player Alejandro Balde, however a recent confession about noting liking a certain musician might have ruined his chances. During an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Balde said: "Do I like Taylor Swift? No, I don't like her music". At one point Badle was leading the fan vote by 13 per cent, according to Spanish journalist Martin Manin. Votes though for have Bellingham shot up and rightly so. The midfielder has had an impressive run at Real Madrid so far as he is now the third player in Los Blancos' history to score in each of his first four games for the club. This rush of votes has seemingly came from Swifties who weren't impressed with Balde's comments about the 'Anti-Hero' singer. "Hey Swifties, we can't let this Badle guy win the Golden Boy Award. Vote for Jude Bellingham here," Twitter user @notpythonn tweeted which went viral with over 6.8m views, and 30,000 likes. As a result of the Swifties taking action, the number of votes for Bellingham jumped from 30,000 to 100,000. Now, Bellingham has an overwhelming majority of 89.1 per cent after 3 million votes cast, while Balde in second place has just 8.4 per cent of votes, with Jamal Musiala in third (0.7 per cent). Prince Andrew called a 'disgrace' at record breaking Wembley Stadium show
Prince Andrew called a 'disgrace' at record breaking Wembley Stadium show
The Duke of York, Prince Andrew was mocked in front of 81,000 people at Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening at All Elite Wrestling's record-breaking 'All In' event. 81,035 people attended the show at Wembley making it the largest paid attendance for a wrestling show in history with only two shows held in 1995 in North Korea trumping it in terms of overall attendance. The show was headlined by a world championship match between Adam Cole and Maxwell Jacob Friedman but the match before that saw the House of Black defend their Trios Championship against The Acclaimed and 'Bad Ass' Billy Gunn. For those that aren't aware The Acclaimed often rap their way to the ring with team member Max Caster usually dropping a topical reference or dropping an acknowledgement to the city they are in at the time. As they were in London for the first time there were several jabs at the Royal Family most notably Prince Andrew all aimed in the direction of the House of Black. Caster began the rap by saying: "Acclaimed on the mic/ there is nothing that we can't do/ these guys are a bigger disgrace than Prince Andrew." The rest of the rap continued with a subtle dig at Meghan Markle and a reference to Harry Potter. Luckily for The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn the dig at the Royal Family wasn't in gest as they were able to defeat the House of Black and capture their first Trios Championships. Meanwhile, the senior Royals including Andrew all reported gathered at Balmoral on Sunday for the first time since the Queen's death on September 8th last year.
