MIAMI, FLORIDA: ‘Good Morning America’ star Sam Champion took to the waters at Miami Beach in Florida on the Labor Day weekend and hosted a live session for his fans from the middle of his swimming session in the ocean.
The 62-year-old who had recently returned from his long vacation to Italy, Brazil, and Salvador decided to take a swim in the ocean and wish his fans a “Happy Labor Day Weekend.”
In the brief clip posted on Instagram, Champion can be seen swerving in the waters, holding the phone in one hand while talking to his fans on a live session with a coffee mug in the other.

The ‘GMA’ star was once again out for his morning swim in the ocean and decided to pull out his phone to go live and connect with his fans.
As he enjoys the waves around him in the ocean, Champion started his live session wishing his fans a “Happy Labor Day weekend.”
The 62-year-old then revealed that he enjoyed a night full of drinks and dinner at a friend’s birthday and said that he “slept a lot.”
The ABC weatherman addressed that the “water was great for a swim” but mentioned that, “we still have warm water problems” after the rampant heatwave in August 2023.
Champion also spoke about his recent trip to Italy and South America, answering the fans’ burning question, “When will he be back on TV?”
The ABC journalist replied that he will be back on “Tuesday Morning” (September 5) after the Labor Day weekend is over and mentioned that he will also be on ‘GMA' on Friday for “some fun” activities.
Towards the end of his clip, Champion mentioned that his thing to do anywhere is to “take a boat trip and chill.”
Champion then realized he was far from the coast and decided to end the live broadcast. He then showed the waters behind him and wished his fans “Happy Holiday!”

The ‘GMA’ star’s brief clip from Miami Beach struck a chord with his fans who flocked to the comments to compliment him.
One fan wrote, “Enjoy your swim Sam! Looks so inviting!” While a second said, “Dang! I missed the live. I hope you didn’t get your phone wet, Sam. This seems very risky.”
A third added, “Your laugh brings so much joy to so many,” while a fourth asked, “Is your phone waterproof?”
A fifth ecstatically said, "This is it. This is life, the only one you get. So go and have a ball. And while you’re here, enjoy the view. Keep on doing what you do. Straight ahead, Sam. Rest assured, one day at a time!!”
