LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After the GOP debate on Wednesday, August 23, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Former Governor of South Carolina and Republican candidate Nikki Haley appeared on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ in conversation with George Stephanopoulos.
Haley and Stephanopoulos primarily discussed Joe Biden and his ability to complete his term, which Haley expressed he was incapable of. However, Stephanopoulos did not share the same view as Haley on ‘GMA.’
This led to a kerfuffle between the two, after which, Haley also posted a clip of it on Twitter, and solidified her stance on the statements she made on ‘GMA.’
Nikki Haley claims President Joe Biden can’t finish his term
On 'GMA' before Nikki Haley could talk about POTUS, George Stephanopoulos asked her, "Why would you vote for a convicted felon (Donald Trump) over Joe Biden?"
Haley told Stephanopoulos, “Well, first of all, a vote for Joe Biden, is a vote for Kamala Harris, you know that, and I know that."
Further adding, "There is no way that Joe Biden is going to finish his term. I think Kamala Harris is going to become the next President, and that should send a chill up everyone’s spine.”
Before Haley could continue her statement, Stephanopoulos interrupted her, “Excuse me, excuse me, one second. How do you know Joe Biden’s not going to finish his term? What is that based on?”
Stephanopoulos then gave Haley the room to respond, who said, “Ask Americans, do you think he is going to finish his term? Do you actually think he is going to finish what he started? We have seen the decline he has over the last few years, you have to be honest with the American people, George.”
Haley continued, “There’s no way Joe Biden is going to finish out in the next term, we can’t have an 81-year-old President.”
Haley also labeled the Senate a “nursing home” and asked the media to acknowledge it on ‘GMA.’ After this interview with Stephanopoulos, Haley took over X.
Did Nikki Haley apologize to ‘GMA’ host George Stephanopoulos?
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Nikki Haley doubled down on her statements made on ‘GMA’ as she tagged George Stephanopoulos in her tweet.
Haley wrote, "Sorry @GStephanopoulos, everyone in America can see Joe Biden’s decline and have concerns about his ability to serve a second term. They know a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris. The media needs to stop protecting Biden and tell America the truth.”
‘GMA’ host Stephanopoulos has not responded to Haley’s tweet.
