NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden’s arrival in Maui, Hawaii has made the headlines all across the globe, and Fox News anchor Sean Hannity has covered several angles of this visit.
Hannity has taken over Twitter and his official website to discuss some moments from Biden’s visit to Hawaii. Some of which include Biden appearing to fall asleep in a ceremony, and another, of Biden petting a dog.
After Hannity’s tweet about Biden being distracted by a dog, the internet has relentlessly mocked Hannity, claiming that Biden is a “compassionate human being.”
Joe Biden petting a dog makes headlines for Sean Hannity
Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to Twitter as he posted a video of Joe Biden petting a dog and pointing out the hot ground. Hannity wrote in his tweet, “Biden Gets Distracted by a Dog: ‘That’s Some Hot Ground, Man!’”
Hannity’s staff also posted an article on this to Hannity’s official website titled, “BIDEN BLASTED FOR 'HOT GROUND' JOKE: 'Dear Lord, Please Let This Be Senility'”
Along with the article, the tweet read, "Imagine your loved one burned to death less than a month ago and when Biden finally visits after his TWO vacations, he jokes around about how hot the ground is. Sick."
This article explained Hannity and Fox News’ interpretation of the incident, “You guys catch the boots out here?” Biden appeared to ask the press watching him. He smiled and said, “That’s some hot ground, man.” The reference to how “hot” the ground was following the deadly wildfires seemed inappropriate to many social media users who saw the clip.”
While Hannity expressed his interpretation of the incident on Twitter, people seemed to disagree as Hannity faced severe backlash.

The internet did not hold back when it came to responding to Sean Hannity as one person wrote, “Hannity finds fault in @POTUS taking notice of the search and rescue dog and remarking that it is good his feet are protected against the hot pavement. All this video does is make us like Biden even more.”
People have come to Joe Biden’s defense as one person wrote, “He was not distracted. he is a compassionate human being.” Those who don’t like Biden also supported him, “I hate Biden. but listen if it was me I'd pet the dog too. the only thing that will love you unconditionally is a dog, you can't belittle him for letting a dog. who really can resist petting a dog.”
The Internet continued to mock Hannity as one person wrote, “Also Hannity: Biden pet a dog! Impeach him! You’re such a pathetic little man,” and another said, “Thanks for showing this. Biden is awesome! Unless you hate rescue dogs or something.”
