NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The country is currently as sensitive to the discourse around the presidential elections as ever. While conflicting arguments are a part of everyday conversations, it has not left news reporters untouched.
'Fox & Friends', one of the more controversial conservative news shows, has seen another rift between the hosts on a political disagreement. Hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade famously have different political leanings and this is one of the several times where they have explicitly attacked each other.
This time, the two went back and forth over the President Joe Biden scandal related to his son Hunter Biden's funding to foreign oligarchs.
Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade argue over Biden
Hunter Biden's tax and oligarch-related scandals are yet to be drowned out as the investigations continue into the 2024 Presidential Election. The involvement of the president is yet to reach a final verdict but, naturally, Republicans and Democrats are severely divided on the topic.
Doocy has consistently stood up for President Biden's innocence in the whole scandal. While he acknowledges that the president's bank record might say otherwise, he doesn't believe that it can be used as evidence.
Doocy started to argue, "With all due respect, Republicans need better investigators. They have a lot of circumstantial evidence but they have not shown Joe Biden has profited or broken any rules. It’s all circumstantial."
Kilmeade was quick to argue as he said, "They're [Republicans] doing great. I vehemently disagree." On being cut off, the two hosts fought over getting the chance to speak.
"This is funneling right to him at a rapid pace. They have had this job for eight months,” Kilmeade said in support of the investigators.
“What’s funneling into him?” Doocy asked with much disregard.
"Everything! Is Joe involved? Is Joe’s presence involved in every major business deal that Hunter was involved in?" Kilmeade questioned, "As Andy McCarthy said, Joe was the business. He had the access. Hunter didn’t. Hunter didn’t have a reputation. It’s leading right there.”
Ainsley Earhardt jumps in to break the argument
Kilmeade and Doocy continued to fire at each other, with the latter seriously asking, "What law did Joe Biden break? If the American people knew. Just answer the question. What law did he break?"
In the end, the both of them reached common ground in realizing that the investigation is still ongoing and no conclusion has been reached by the team yet.
In the tense environment of the studio, fellow host Ainsley Earhardt, who usually stands next to Kilmeade in his opinions about Biden and the Democrats, question the two of them, "What is happening?"
The hosts ended the argument in a disagreement, looking forward to more updates about the investigation.
