LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Good Morning America' host Ginger Zee has been spending her well-earned time off from her hosting duties by vacationing with her family.
The meteorologist shared a bunch of photos on her Instagram page, giving fans a brief glimpse into her life away from the studio.
The meteorologist was joined by her family and friends for a brief break from work. Zee also announced her return to 'GMA' after missing the show for a week for the Monday morning broadcast
Fans were very excited to see their favorite host's photographs on social media and readily flocked to her post to shower her with love.
Ginger Zee enjoys time off with family in Michigan
Many viewers were concerned when Ginger Zee announced that she would be taking a break from her hosting duties on 'GMA'.
But the meteorologist had only decided to take a week off, relaxing for the summer with her loved ones.
As revealed in her latest photo dump on Instagram, she was enjoying her week with her husband and two sons along with her close friends.
The photos showed Zee at Silver Lake in Michigan where she got to experience many things in a short period of time.
Her caption read, "So many dips in Lake Michigan after long walks on the beach, a wedding, several @hermansboyinc stops, a birthday, saying goodbye to Oma’s house, climbing the dunes at Silver Lake, diving into the corn, laughing with the dearest friends and so many trips to @meijerstores."
Zee seemed to cherish that she could make time for a vacation and went on to add, "That was a week off well spent in Michigan."
She then announced her return to the early morning weather reports and wrote, "Sending you all the peace and sunshine that I’ve felt while off. Back on the road and see you Monday on @goodmorningamerica from Chicago!"
Fans missed Ginger Zee but are happy for her
Ginger Zee has a huge following for being one of the most popular meteorologists on TV. So, many viewers of 'GMA' inevitably missed seeing Zee's greetings every morning.
Regardless of that, her fans shared positive comments under her post, saying how they had missed her but were also glad that the host had gotten the chance to take a break.
"So nice to see you relaxing with your family. You work so hard. I watch you every morning," a fan wrote in their comment.
While another said, "Glad you had a great vacation and family time! Much deserved!! Happy to see you back online so I know what’s happening in the weather."
"I couldn't love that 2nd picture any more," a fan wrote, gushing over the picture of Zee's two sons standing on the beach with their arms wrapped around each other.

Another one shared their own good experience at the lake and said, "So glad you made it back to the mitten! Nothing like summer on the dunes & in Lake Michigan."
