BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate took to Twitter to express their frustration with the mainstream media and provide clarification about their Bitcoin wealth. The Tate brothers have recently made headlines due to being indicted with rape, human trafficking, and organizing a crime group to sexually exploit women.
After spending time in custody, the brothers were put under house arrest on March 31 but have yet to be detained despite being charged with several crimes. As per reports, authorities have issued an order to seize their assets, including their cryptocurrency holdings. Andrew, who is now facing additional charges, was revealed to possess over 21 million Bitcoin, along with his brother, according to a report by Sky News.
'They’re onto us'
Following the announcement of charges against the Tate brothers, Sky News reported that the siblings possessed a staggering amount of over 21 million Bitcoin, currently valued at approximately $400 million. Notably, the mentioned number exceeds the current global Bitcoin supply, which amounts to 19,406,168.75 BTC.
In a twist of events, it appears that the earlier reports were marred by a peculiar error originating from Google translation, leading to a misquote. Contrary to the grand figures mentioned, the Tate brothers actually have Bitcoins worth $21 million. Nevertheless, the brothers did not brush off this mishap. Tristan raged a Twitter storm against mainstream media, expressing his discontent. He tweeted, "Never forget that the mainstream media think I own 21,000,000 bitcoin." In response, Andrew promptly replied, "They’re onto us!"
'Mainstream media are dump'
Andrew claims that the mainstream media orchestrated a false narrative against him. Despite the grave accusations, he has consistently proclaimed his innocence. And he strongly believes that the entity he calls "The Matrix" is responsible for all their misfortunes. As the brothers tweeted about their Bitcoin assets, many users chimed in with their views. One user wrote, "I can believe you guys had a 21M worth of Bitcoin but no 21M bitcoins 😂 mainstream media are dump 😂." Another user wrote, "Haha halfway to the trillionaires club, nice!" "I bet you there are at least 10% of dorks out there that actually believe you have 21 million btc 😂," jokingly wrote one person pointing out the fallacy of reporting when it comes to the media.
