WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO: The 30-year-old Paige Spiranac needs no introduction! A former golfer, who is also an influencer, has gained immense popularity with her glamorous photos on the golf course, sporting tiny skirts and low-cut tops.
While many things are known about her, Spiranac's educational details are mostly unknown. During her journey to becoming a professional golfer, Spiranac encountered various challenges. Let's explore more about her college and educational degree.
Did Paige Spiranac complete her graduation?
Paige Spiranac persevered in her efforts to improve at golf and went on to have a successful undergraduate career at San Diego State University. She opted for a course in communications, but she couldn't complete her graduation. She was short by one semester before she became an internet sensation. The former golfer was supposed to return to finish her last semester but never did.
In a series of podcasts called 'Playing a Round', she said, "If I had the choice to be doing what I'm doing to play on the LPGA Tour, I would probably pick the LPGA Tour because that was just a goal that I've always wanted to achieve and it was a dream of mine, and I wish I could've checked that off before I went over into doing media work full time." She added, "But that's not how life works."
'My whole life flipped upside down'
The former golf star, who captivates the internet with her stunning pictures, opened up about the turning point in her golfing career. She shared, "I was playing really well and then my whole life flipped upside down. I blew up on social media. I didn't end up going back to be the assistant coach." She further revealed, "I didn't even finish my last semester of college. I never got my degree, which is something that's so crazy and I've never talked about that."
She had initially intended to work on her game as the assistant golf coach during her final semester at the university. However, her plans changed when she gained significant attention on social media. Spiranac shared, "I did one year of playing golf professionally and I was just mentally exhausted. In golf, you fail more than you succeed, and I was experiencing that in the public eye. Everyone was telling me, 'You should quit. You should give up. You're not good.'"
She further expressed her emotional state and the impact of criticism she faced. Spiranac shared, "All of these things, and I was already dealing with these mental issues of years and years and years of trying so hard and coming up short, and I just broke. I honestly cracked. I broke, and I just stopped. I said, 'Maybe I'll go back,' and I've never gone back to try and play golf professionally again."
