LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Good Morning America’s’ host Robin Roberts wasn't entirely too pleased with her co-host, Lara Spencer, once again. The 62-year-old stood up for herself when Lara made a small blunder that excluded Robin from an elite celebrity list. Lara and Robin bonded in London while covering Wimbledon, but since their return to the studio, the duo has had a few mishaps with each other on-air.
Lara was reminiscing about her time at Wimbledon in London when she brought up a list of celebrities who attended the prestigious event. However, her biggest mistake was excluding her co-host and good friend Robin from that list, which Robin did not appreciate. She snapped back at Lara instantly, reminding her that she was there too.
How did Lara Spencer piss Robin Roberts off?
During one of the recent episodes of the morning show, Lara joined Robin, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopoulos for ‘GMA’ POP News. Lara then mentioned all the big Hollywood celebrities and other big names who attended the coveted sports event in London. The list was never ending with names such as Andrew Garfield, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Ariana Grande, Tom Hiddleston, Cara Delvigne, Emma Watson, Idris Elba, Daniel Craig, and more making their presence felt in the stands.
Toward the end of Lara’s segment, Robin asked, "And who else was there?” "Hmmm," Lara said, "Miss Robin Roberts." "No! I wasn't there!" The GMA host called out Lara's error. Michael cracked up and put his head in his hands as Lara said she thought Robin was "looking for a shoutout.” "No! I was at home," Robin said, before bursting into laughter herself. Robin and Lara traveled to London to cover Wimbledon for ‘GMA’, but returned home before all of the other celebrities showed up.
Robin has snapped at Lara before
Robin Roberts is a fierce woman who will speak up if she feels something’s not right for her. This was not the first blatant exchange between Robin and Lara where the former called out her co-host ignorance. In a recent segment, Robin snapped at Lara for ending a happy segment about a 15-year-old girl swimming around Manhattan on a gloomy note. Lara ended the segment by giving all the viewers a warning about swimming in the waters around Manhattan and stated that “Parasites, bacteria, and other microorganisms found in rivers like the Hudson” can be catastrophic for anyone. Robin immediately called out Lara’s stance to end the segment on a dark note stating, “It was a feel-good story.”
