Carson Daly assisted Chef Lidia Bastianich on Tuesday's 'Today' episode as she appeared on the morning show to share a recipe for eggplant rollatini.
Daly, known for his passion for food, took the lead as the host of the segment, while his co-hosts sat at a nearby table, enjoying the prepared dish.
During the segment, ‘The Voice’ star actively participated in the cooking process, assisting Lidia in various tasks. He joined in cutting and frying vegetables, filling the rollatini, and adding extra sauce to the dish.
However, midway through the cooking process, Daly appeared to feel a twinge of envy as his co-stars were already savoring the meal.
He playfully called out to them, asking, "How does it taste, guys? You're eating it."
His fellow co-hosts, including Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and others, showered compliments on the dish, using words like "insane" to describe its deliciousness.
Ultimately, Daly couldn't resist the allure of the taste test and temporarily abandoned his cooking duties to join in and savor the dish.
As Bastianich was busy sprinkling cheese on top of the freshly prepared rollatini, Daly who couldn't resist, reached for a filled plate from the side.
With a playful tone, the chef teased, "You left me for the plate!" Daly admitted with a laugh, "Yes, I did."
"We're not finished here," the chef quickly retorted as she continued to add cheese to the dish.
On the other hand, 'Today' co-hosts could be heard laughing, while Daly simply responded to her, saying, "Okay, but I can't help it!"
Once he got to taste the dish, Daly appeared delighted as he exclaimed, "Oh my gosh. That's special!"
A look at Carson Daly’s love for food

Just last month, Siri surprised fans by sharing a photo of Jackson proudly presenting a beautifully prepared Beef Wellington on a cutting board, with a beaming smile.
She captioned the post, “Scenes from the weekend…Starting Friday night when Jackson made us @gordongram’s Beef Wellington and made it perfectly, I might add. I swear I’ll cook something myself someday soon. Maybe."
