PACIFIC HARBOUR, FIJI: 'Love Island USA' Season 5 previous episode ended with a major cliffhanger leaving the viewers guessing who could leave the villa. However, the latest episode came with a more shocking surprise as Carmen Kocourek revealed her true feelings about Carsten 'Bergie' Bergersen.
The islanders get to vote against the contestant whom they wanted to return back to their home to save the islander whom they want in the villa. While most of the islanders cast their votes in favour of Carmen, others voted against Victor Gonzalez. Apparently, Carmen got saved but left the islanders to doubt their decision.
Why did Carmen Kocourek friendzone Carsten 'Bergie' Bergersen?
'Love Island USA' Season 5 viewers have often noticed Carmen and Bergie spending time together getting to know each other. At one point, it also seemed like Carmen has started liking Bergie. However, Carmen's feelings for Bergie changed soon after she got saved. Additionally, Carmen friend-zoned Bergie noting that how he handled the situation with Victor was not what she looking for in her partner. Carmen revealed, "The fact he knew he was kind of leading me into that conversation and then made this strong woman comment." She added, "Like, I was going to go fight this battle was a bit like I don't know if I want a partner that's gonna like but instead of being direct." Carmen further noted, "He almost used Victor as an excuse. He was like Victor said you said it again." However, after she got saved, Carmen said asked Bergoie, "Hey Bergie, we're friends right? I’d hate to lose you as my best friend in the Villa."
'Carmen is a BIGTIME game player'
After Carmen friend-zoned Bergie, the viewers dubbed her a 'game player'. A social media user tweeted, "Carmen friendzoning Bergie as soon as she safe wow shocker." Another Twitter user wrote, "Carmen from the jump really didn't care about Bergie. We all got played."
