As the release date for Percy Jackson and the Olympians creeps ever closer, the Greek gods have gifted us a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated series.
Adapted from Rick Riordan's beloved series of the same name, Percy Jackson and the Olympians introduces us to the half-blood descendants of the Greek gods, including Poseidon's son Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) and Athena's daughter Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries). Together with satyr Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri), these budding heroes must cross the United States on a quest for Zeus' (Lance Reddick) stolen lightning bolt — or risk an all-out war between the gods.
Fans of Percy Jackson will immediately recognize iconic book scenes from the show's latest trailer, including suspicious substitute Mrs. Dodds (Megan Mullally) attacking Percy and Percy's first game of capture the flag at Camp Half-Blood. Bring on the epic adventures, the Greek mythology, and the sweet, sweet nostalgia.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres on Disney+ Dec. 20.
