NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Bebe Rexha is not backing down despite facing injury as the tour will continue. It comes after Rexha received three stitches on her face when a man threw a phone at her Best F'n Night Of My Life tour in New York City, Pier 17 on Sunday, June 18.
The 'Back to You' singer, as shown in a viral video, fell on her knees while performing on the stage when someone from the crowd hurled a phone into her face. Her mother later reportedly said that Rexha had received three stitches.
'It was still an amazing show in my hometown'
While announcing that the tour will go on, Rexha posted a series of photos on her Instagram from the night and wrote, " Although the show ended in an unfortunate way it was still an amazing show in my hometown. Thank you so much, New York. I love You. The Tour must go on!!!," Rexha wrote before adding, "Philly next!." She further asked her fans, "Which show you coming to?!." She also hashtagged the post as the best night of my life tour "#bestfnnightofmylifetour."
Just Jared reported the phone hit Bebe in the face and she needed three stitches right above her eye, which is now completely black and blue. Rexha also shared the photos of her injury on Instagram. Nicolas Malvagna, 27 a luxury dog kennel worker from New Jersey, had been arrested and charged with assault for throwing the phone at Rexha. Malvagna was charged with two counts of assault in the three degrees, one count of harassment in the second degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of attempted assault in the third degree, as per Rolling Stone.
'This is legend behaviour!!!'
Fans also reacted to her announcement by stating it was a "legendary behavior" as one social media user wrote, "This is legend behaviour!!! put RESPECT on bebe rexha’s name. She is NOT THE ONE TO PLAY WITH!! see you in Europe legend." One more user wrote, "We love you!!! so glad you’re okay angel." Another user quipped in, "Always killing it Bebee!! We love youuuuu a living LEGEND." More fans reacted to her post where she revealed her injured eyebrow, "Love you girly.. I’m so sorry this happened to yo," one user commented. "Whoever did this shouldn’t be allowed in public," demanded others. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office said that Malvagna confessed to throwing the phone and he said, “I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”
