GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: Who isn't familiar with Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast? While the YouTuber is ultimately the king of social media, it's his philanthropic nature that has garnered fans' appreciation. While a few hail him for his generosity, a few fans question the authenticity of his videos, especially due to the participant's non-reactive expressions upon receiving a huge amount of cash or goodies.
With around 161 million followers on youtube and 39 million on Instagram, MrBeast stands as a prominent figure in the current landscape of GenZ. Since the beginning of his career, MrBeast earned a reputation for kindly giving money to people in need, an act that he upholds to this day. However, this leads to a commonly asked question among his viewers, who are oftentimes astonished by the non-reactive participants receiving amounts of cash in his videos. Is it all scripted? But now MrBeast has finally addressed this issue.
Are MrBeast's videos scripted?
In an interview by 'Financian', MrBeast emphasized the issue of non-reactive participants in his videos. He said, "Like sometimes you’ll give someone 100 grand and they’ll just be like, thanks and I’ll be like, anything else you want to say? And I know like, if they don’t say something, please have a dying mom. Please have. It’s more like any time I upload a video where someone’s like doesn’t freak out." He further added, "People on the comments are like, 'Oh, it’s fake' and there’s just all these conspiracy theories and everyone’s like certain, like if I won 100 grand, I would have reacted. The only explanation for why they would freak out is MrBeast fakes it.”
'The internet ruined our expectations of reality'
MrBeast addressed the myths about his films throughout the conversation, noting that his sincere approach frequently creates a sense of premeditation, leading people to doubt their validity. There were several comment's on his video. A user wrote, "It's the jumping around, over reacting that makes me think it looks fake. I think most people being given a huge amount of moneywould almost freeze, they'd feel numb, overwhelmed, nervous etc I know I would. I'd never jump around and carry on, I'd be speechless." A second user wrote, "I think it's because some people just don't process it at first how much it is." The third user wrote, "The internet ruined our expectations of reality." A fourth user wrote," I don't think I would freak out just be overwhelmed the reality wouldn't hit me. It would be life changing."
