LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American's Got Talent' is back on the screens with more talented singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, and other performers of all ages competing for the top prize in Season 18. Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara continue their hunt for the best of the lot as the auditions roll out every week.
Among the new contestants that are about to perform in the upcoming eighth round of auditions, Pulse Percussion, a youth-arts organization, is set to impress the audience as well as the judges with their impressive performance. Notably, Pulse Percussion already has the hearts of many, as the group won back-to-back gold at the WGI Championships.
Who are Pulse Percussion?
Pulse Percussion is a youth-arts organization founded by Ken McGrath and Caleb Rothe that provides students with the highest level of development opportunities through multiple musical channels, including competitive indoor percussion ensembles, educational clinics, and other outreach activities nationwide. According to the website, Pulse Percussion currently manages two competitive ensembles, Pulse and POW Percussion. The groups participate in events hosted locally by the Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA) and nationally by Winter Guard International (WGI) Sport of the Arts. These events focus on performances that combine music, movement, and props into a theatrical production performed in a gymnasium. Moreover, every year from January to April, the ensembles compete against other indoor percussion groups hailing from all around the country.
