LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'America's Got Talent' Season 18 contestant Artem Shchukin looked very familiar to the fans. The magician resembled Uncle Fester from 'Wednesday.' Stunned by the standing ovation on the 'AGT' stage Artem's first word as he stood in front of the judges was "wow." The 38-year-old has been doing magic ever since he was just 9 years old.
Even though Artem managed to get all the yeses from the panelists, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Simon Cowell, he seems not to have won the viewers' hearts. A few fans called out Artem's magic for not being hilarious enough to move ahead in the show. However, the one thing that caught's everyone eye was his similarity to Uncle Fester.
'It Is Uncle Fester!'
Seeing Artem cast the spooky spell with his appearance on 'AGT' Season 18, a fan took to YouTube's comment section to claim, "It Is Uncle Fester!" With the same weird smile as that of Uncle Fester from 'Wednesday,' one fan said, "The Addams Family have got to see this!" A fan tweeted, "Artem was great he does look like Uncle Fester from the Adams Family."
The magical act of Artem was more funny and entertaining. Even though his act was short but it made the fans get hooked on the entire scene. Simon commented, "magical, weird, and hilarious." Howie on the other hand praised the artist, saying, "He's like a character, he's like a mime, he's like a clown..." Heidi then interrupted Howie in the middle saying, "He looked like you a little bit."
'I'm not seeing any magic from Artem here'
Seeing Artem perform the card magic made one of the fans claim, "Yeah I'm not seeing any magic from Artem here." Another claimed, "A carnival act at best. Not hilarious, but entertaining." A fan tweeted, "Ok but wouldn't pay to see it in Vegas."
One fan commented on YouTube, "Got bored needs to hide where they were coming from better. lol." Another called out the performer, "That guy was rubish lol." Another fan wrote, "That was boring."
Artem started his act with just one card and a weird dance. He then flipped one card into two, then three, four, five, and it went into hundreds of them. Towards the end he made the audience stand up as he brought out a card from his pants.
